The Revolution
Jr. Juggernaut Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The god, the don, the mothafuckin' spawn
Of the illest, the realist killas, ya better put me on
Trayvon black hoodie, I'm staying murked out
Black guns, stack funds
We run up in that house
I'm from the dirty dirty south
So pardon my dirty mouth
If these other rappers talking
Then I'm who they talk about
I been 'bout it with no option
Pussy what she popping
Once I get that club rocking
They shake it like maracas
I'm about to go stupid
About to go dumb
About show these other rappers how we do it where I'm from
All this mumble crap rappin, the reason why I'm snapping
Like Somalis in this bitch, bruh
Ya lookin at the captain

See they ask me what I'm doing
I'm moving the revolution
Fueling the evolution
Refuting the institution
Yeah
Yeah
See they
See they
See they ask me what I'm
See they ask me what I'm

Every label out here still searching for that next Pac
I'm out here spittin' Fire bitch I'm sippin' on that red hot
Like Bedstuy's greatest, label me notorious
About to go to war then come back home victorious
And glory is, vic-tory is... All I ever see
Cuz "I am the greatest" like Mohammad Ali
So, picture me rollin'... Ain't nothing but a G thang
Bitch I'm straight flossin like the back of that G strang
I am the epitome, everything they couldn't be
They tried to stop my shine, but I knew that I couldn't be
So please don't get it twisted
Got visions of where I'd rather be
Trying to add more commas to the total of my salary
I'm bound to be, undoubtedly, everything they doubt of me
Sign, sealed, delivered by my mothafuckin' casualties
Catch on me on a cypher like the freshman on that magazine
Catch on me on a cypher like the freshman on that magazine

See they ask me what I'm doing
I'm moving the revolution
Fueling the evolution
Refuting the institution
Yeah
Yeah
See they
See they
See they ask me what I'm
See they ask me what I'm

See they ask me what I'm doing
I'm moving the revolution
Fueling the evolution
Refuting the institution
Yeah
Yeah
See they
See they

See they ask me what I'm
See they ask me what I'm

Overall Meaning

In Jr. Juggernaut's song "The Revolution," the rapper proclaims himself as the spawn of the illest and realist killers who deserve to be put on. He references Trayvon Martin, the African-American teenager who was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch member in Florida, wearing a black hoodie as a symbol of protest against racial profiling. He talks about his connection to the dirty south and his dirty mouth, which is pardoned due to his authenticity as opposed to other rappers who are merely talking about him. He attacks the mumble rap trend in the industry, which he believes is the reason for his aggression, comparing himself to Somalis who are known for their aggression.

He then talks about the industry's search for the next Tupac and labels himself the greatest, comparing himself to legendary boxer Mohammad Ali. He also talks about his visions of wealth and success, wanting to add more commas to his salary. He expresses his determination to be successful, despite those who doubt him, and the casualties he faces. The chorus repeatedly states that he is moving the revolution, fueling evolution, and refuting the institution, implying that he is striving for change.
