Visions
Judas Priest_(p) Lyrics

Eventides when I'm afraid
I'll never know when you'll appear
But my senses say you're near
In the dark when I write
Telling fortunes for my life
I'm sitting here by candle flame
Embers ignite once again
I watch them dance around the flame
Sparks start to fly
I can't speak
From seeing answers that I seek
Shapes start to form as I stare
The shadows taunt as if to dare
Ghostly embrace takes my heart
Now I surrender and it starts
[Chorus]
Visions in the night
Show me what is right
Help me through the maze of mystery
I will sell my soul
Only I can know
What the future holds
And what will be
Slowly my hand
Turns the page
It never ceases to amaze
Fill me with hope if you can
I will become a better man
[Chorus]
Visions come into my mind
And tell the future of mankind
Only time will prove that I'm right
Will my words come true (will my words come true)
I can't deny the gift of foresight (I can't deny)
There's nothing I can do (There's nothing I can do)
Such a lonely night
Premonitions running wild
I can see them now
All alone I fantasize
As daylight breaks
Through the stars
I wonder how I got this far
As I leave my room
And lock the door
I know I'll live forever more
[Chorus: x2]
In "Visions", the singer is experiencing premonitions and is waiting for a supernatural figure to reveal themselves. The song is set during “Eventide," when the day begins to end, and the darkness is eerily present. The singer is waiting for a sign that the supernatural figure, possibly a deity or an angel, is present. This figure might hold answers to the questions that haunt the singer. The singer is sitting by a candle flame, where the embers seem to ignite, and the sparks seem to fly, all while they gaze into the flame. The singer sees shapes taking form before them as they stare, and the shadows taunt and dare them. The song is a plea for clarity, a desire to know the future, and the unknown.
The chorus of the song reinforces the theme of premonition and mystery; the visions of the night will show the singer what is right and help them through the maze of mystery. The only one who can know the future is the singer, and they will sell their soul to understand what it holds. The song ends with the singer contemplating their visions' validity and living forevermore, suggesting that the supernatural figure's appearance confirms the singer's beliefs.

I'm not a big fan of Nostradamus, but this is one of their most underrated tracks.
***** Electric-Shock *****
This album is classic metal. Listen to the dedication put down in the studio. This is extreamly difficult to do. Most bands today can't do what Priest have done with this album. CREATE A MONSTER OF METAL. Cheezy? Huh?

This track is very hypnotic. It's putting me to sleep. Thank you Priest. Heavy Metal isn't about making noise. A lesson the newer guys need to learn.

Exactly, puts you to sleep in boredom.

If you listen repeatedly this happens. Still garbage, though.
If it doesn't click at first listen, it is the proof of not being good, and Judas Priest should know that after so many years releasing albums.
"Visions in the night" bla bla bla, so fucking cheesy and cliche-like melodic garbage with absolutely no originality.
