Grievance
Judy Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Fuck a grievance or a reason lil boy I'm not the one
I'm the tallest living tree boy in the forest I'm the one
At my house I'm smokin' weed I'm in my force in my ones
Bouta pour myself to sleep I got divorced with my one
How I'm sober when I drink and I'm the sorest when I'm numb
And when I tell you what I think I lose the force in my gums
I make 'em porous with my gun
I'm in the forest in the sun
I'm the poorest with the funds
I'm enormous and I'm nothing
Snorin' in my sleep you better pour a nigga somethin'

Source of the heat boy I'm the furnace in the function
Pour another drink I'm 'bout to force some discussions

Overall Meaning

In Judy's song "Grievance," the lyrics delve into themes of frustration, isolation, and the struggles of self-medication. The opening line, "Fuck a grievance or a reason lil boy I'm not the one," suggests a dismissive attitude towards grievances or explanations, emphasizing a refusal to be bothered or affected by them. This sets the tone for the rest of the song, where the singer asserts their independence and resilience.

The following lines, "I'm the tallest living tree boy in the forest I'm the one," convey a sense of power and confidence. The singer sees themselves as an imposing figure, standing tall and prominent, even within a metaphorical forest representing life's challenges and complexities. This line may also imply that the singer has overcome obstacles and risen above others in some way.

The lyrics then shift to a more personal aspect, referencing the singer's house where they smoke weed. This could be seen as a form of escape or self-medication, a way to cope with personal issues. The mention of getting divorced suggests the pain or emotional turmoil the singer has experienced, and again, reinforces their desire to numb these feelings through substances.

The use of paradoxical statements like "How I'm sober when I drink and I'm the sorest when I'm numb" highlights the singer's inner contradictions and struggles. They may find solace in drinking, yet paradoxically feel even more pain or discomfort when they are supposedly numb or detached from their emotions. This highlights the complexities of their emotional state and hints towards a desire for deeper connection and understanding.

Overall, "Grievance" paints a picture of a person who grapples with their internal battles, seeking refuge through substances and struggling with conflicting emotions. It captures their frustration, isolation, and the need for catharsis, reflected in lines like "Snorin' in my sleep you better pour a nigga somethin'" which suggest a plea for someone to offer them comfort or understanding. The lyrics also invite introspection and consideration of the ways in which individuals cope with their own grievances and challenges in life.

One of my favorite things about watching JJ over more than 20 years is when the litigants ( both plaintiffs and defendants) think that JJ is as stupid as they are. I love those cases, boy are they in for a shock.

She seems to secretly take it hard and restrains herself from arguing with her. My own gma tries to tell me how to think too or gets a lil uptight about me having my own opinions. I think she does try to allow her to have her own so that's why she refrains from arguing much more about it with her.

1st case.. JJ knows he has a lease and he is trying to tell her that the defendant is changing the terms of the lease in the middle of it and she said he should have moved but if you are in the middle of a lease it’s not that simple to just move without the landlord being able to sue you for moving and “breaking” the lease unless you have proof that they changed the terms of the lease significantly first.

Good morning to each and every one of you! Sending hugs to whom may need one today! Judge Judy was very very grumpy today. She did not even give the Plaintiff a chance to speak. I felt bad for him. Big companies struggle as well. Going through a divorce. She was wrong in my opinion on the first one. Lets see if shes still grumpy. Lol. Yep she is grumpy. Lol. May God Bless , bring peace, and send his Gaurdian Angels around every one all over the world.
