There's an NPC in Sinnoh who still calls this place the Tin Tower despite its name being changed for the remakes of the same generation. I like to imagine that they did that because having the NPC call it "Bell Tower" would have looked a bit suspicious prior to the announcement of a Johto remake later in Gen 4's lifespan.

I like the tin and brass towers better because they reference gold and silver, but my headcannon is that people use “bell tower” more now because it’s the only one left
