In 2010, Justice Crew won the fourth series of Australia's Got Talent. They were inspired to enter the competition after seeing Britain's Got Talent winners of 2009, Diversity. After receiving three Yes votes from all three judges in their audition, the group went on to compete in the second semi-finals, where they received a standing ovation, both from the audiences and the judges. In the end, they won the public vote and went on to compete in the grand finale. The first round of the grand final began on 8 June 2010, where Justice Crew performed their final routine. Judge Brian McFadden was so impressed with the performance, he stood on his seat and applauded. Even an often hard-to win over Kyle Sandilands was full of praise for the group's performance. Emmanuel Rodriguez of Justice Crew said the group scheduling as the second last act to perform added to the pressure to perform well. "They gave us more time to be nervous. But as soon as the music started, we knew we were going to nail it". On the Grand Final, held on 15 June 2010, it was announced that Justice Crew were the winners and were awarded a prize of $250,000, with singer-guitarist, Cameron Henderson becoming the runner up.
In August, it was announced the group had signed to Sony Music Australia for their hidden vocal talents, which fans didn't get to see during their time on Australia's Got Talent. "Sony asked if any of us could sing and we showed them what we could do. A week later, we were in the recording studio". In August 2010, they released their debut single, "And Then We Dance", which has so far peaked at No. 26 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and debuted No. 1 on the ARIA Physical Singles Chart.

Who you thought it was, drinkin' in
Hands fillin' my buzz
Fillin' my cup no hesitation
She won't love a attention
I'm taking barely standing
This is a night we won't forget
So tell the DJ to play that song again
It goes...
I can’t keep my hands to myself-self-self
I want you tonight and no one else-else-else
She thinks I’m a player
But she can’t get enough
So we gon’ dance to we
Fall in love-love-love (and dance)
No I don’t want you to stop
The way you moving you got me (got me)
Let me get you another drink
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we and then we and then we
I don't normally do this
I know it might sound foolish
But I couldn't care less
Not embarressed
Coz tonight you and I are gonna lose it
Pot bottles spring out the bar
I'm Jack Sparrow
Stay up til the mornin
As long as you ain't gonna leave
And if you do you can hold my keys, coz
I can't keep my hands to myslef-self-self
I want you tonight and no one else-else-else
She think I'm a player
But she can't get enough
We gon listen til we fall in love-love-love (dance)
No I don't want you to stop
The way you movin you got me (got me)
Let me get you another drink
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we, and then we, and then we
I can't keep my hands to myself-self-self
And we dance, and we dance, and we dance, and we dance
I can't keep my hands to myself-self-self
And we dance, and we dance, and we dance, (Justice Crew!) and we dance
No I don't you to stop
The way you movin
You got me (got me)
Let me get you another drink
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we, and then we, and then we
No I don't want you stop
The way you movin you got me (got me)
Let me get you another drink
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we dance (and then we dance)
And then we, and then we, and then we
I can't keep my hands to myself-self-self
I want you tonight and no one else-else-else
She think I'm a player
But she can't get enough
So we gon dance until we fall in love-love-love (and dance)
The lyrics to Justice Crew's song "And Then We Dance" follow the perspective of a man who is at a party, drinking and enjoying himself. He meets a woman who he is interested in and decides to dance with her. She initially thinks he is a player, but he assures her that he only wants her. Despite his lack of experience in this situation, he is not embarrassed and simply wants to have a good time with her. They continue to dance and drink until they fall in love.
The lyrics are full of energy and give an all-around party vibe. The use of repetition in the chorus adds to this, making it a song perfect for dancing along to. The lyrics also hint at the idea of living in the moment and not being afraid to let loose and just dance.
Overall, the song is about enjoying life, letting go of inhibitions, and finding love on the dancefloor. It's a fun and catchy tune that encourages listeners to let loose and dance like nobody is watching.
