Born and raised in Tennessee, as a child he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Timberlake won two Grammy Awards for his R&B-focused debut solo album Justified (2002) and its single "Cry Me a River". Another single from the album, "Rock Your Body", was also successful.
His critically acclaimed second album FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), characterized by its diversity in music genres, debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200 and spawned the Hot 100 consecutive number-one singles with "SexyBack", "My Love" and "What Goes Around... Comes Around". Established as a solo artist worldwide, his first two albums both exceeded sales of 10 million copies, as he continued producing records and collaborating with other artists.
From 2008 through 2012, Timberlake focused on his acting career, effectively putting his music career on hiatus. He held starring roles in the films The Social Network, Bad Teacher, Friends with Benefits, and In Time.
Timberlake resumed his music career in 2013 with his third and fourth albums The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2, exploring neo soul styles, partly inspired by the expansive song structures of 1960s and 1970s rock. The former became the best-selling album of the year and spawned the top three singles "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors". Timberlake voiced Branch in DreamWorks Animation's Trolls (2016), whose soundtrack includes his fifth Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single, "Can't Stop the Feeling!", which earned him an Academy Award nomination. His fifth studio album Man of the Woods (2018) became his fourth number-one album in the US. Supported by the two top ten singles, "Filthy" and "Say Something", it concluded 2018 as the sixth best-selling album of the year.
Sauce
Justin Timberlake Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Anyone can obtain the juice or something
I mean, you could say that just 'cause you got a nice car or something, like
"Oh, man, he got the juice," you know, it's something that kind of comes and goes
But the sauce, the sauce is forever
Ooh, sauce
Uh, you got all of it
You know, you got all of it
You got all of it
Go 'head
Ooh, I love your pink, you like my purple
You must be God herself, can I come worship?
Let's make some new details, just for your journal
'Cause you keep lookin' at me with those eyes like you know somethin' I don't
So, go ahead, say I won't
Ain't nothin' to it but to do it, throw away that phone
'Cause I know you missed a snap on a another, I can name three or four
But you keep lookin' at me with those eyes like you know somethin' I don't
Hold up
Ooh, ooh, somethin' comes over me
It's all these loose screws when you get close to me
It's like too much to describe, yeah, it's enough for two lives
And I could never stand by nothing but at least I'm gon' try
Ooh, I love your pink, you like my purple
That color right between those, that's where I worship
Let's make some new details up in your journal
'Cause you keep lookin' at me with those eyes like you know somethin' I don't
So, go ahead, say I won't
Ain't nothin' to it but to do it, throw away that phone
'Cause I know you missed a snap on a another, I can name three or four
But you keep lookin' at me with those eyes like you know somethin' I don't
Hold up
Ooh, ooh, somethin' comes over me
It's all these loose screws when you get close to me
It's like too much to describe, yeah, it's enough for two lives
And I could never stand by nothing but at least I'm gon' try
Four times, huh
Yeah, break it down, woo!
Uh huh
So, so, so, go ahead, say I won't
Ain't nothin' to it but to do it, throw away that phone
'Cause I know you missed a snap on a another, I can name three or four
But you keep lookin' at me with those eyes like you know somethin' I don't
Hold up
Ooh, ooh, somethin' comes over me
It's all these loose screws when you get close to me
It's like too much to describe, yeah, it's enough for two lives
And I could never stand by nothing but at least I'm gon' try
Ooh, ooh, somethin' comes over me (over me)
It's all these loose screws when you get close to me (yeah)
It's like too much to describe, yeah, it's enough for two lives

You got all of it, go 'head
Ooh, sauce
Go 'head, you got all of it, huh
Ooh, sauce
Uh, yeah, you got all of it, go 'head
Ooh, sauce
Go 'head, you got all of it, uh
The song 'Sauce' by Justin Timberlake is a smooth R&B track, that tries to distinguish between two ubiquitous terms - juice and sauce. According to the songwriter, 'juice' refers to something that's temporary, something that comes and goes. It's often related to materialistic things such as nice cars, flashy clothes, etc. However, 'sauce', on the other hand, is forever. It's deeper than just owning something for a short time. It's about personality, character, and a way of being. The track talks about how the persona feels in the presence of another person. It's as if something comes over him, and he can't describe it in words. He says that this emotion is enough for two lives, and he would never stand by it. He can't ignore it, but he's willing to give it a shot.
Moving on to the chorus, the songwriter says that he admires and loves the person so much that the color pink they have on them, reminds him of something he worships. He's asking the other person if he can come worship it too. Both have a strong attraction towards each other, and the persona is ready to take it to a new level. He knows the other person has other options, but he's confident that she won't choose anyone else. The assurance in his voice is clear, and he's not afraid to make a move.
