From a young age K-Bust studied classical piano, and built her skills as a lyricist, composer and interpreter. She was also influenced by music of the 70s and 80s – pop icons such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, as well as old-school soul like Marvin Gaye – all of whom played a major role in developing her unique musical style.
She moved to Montreal, Canada in 2003 in order to dedicate herself to music, and quickly made a name for herself on the local scene. Among her many successes, she opened for Los Prisoneros (the biggest Chilean rock band), and performed at various music festivals in Montreal and Toronto. All the while she continued her professional vocal training, and was awarded “best author-composer-interpreter” by the McGill University jury in 2007.
Since 2008, she has been performing live and on the radio for events like the Chilean earthquake benefit concert, World Music Day and “The Apollo Nights” show, where she sang alongside Alan Prater, a former Michael Jackson musician and back-up vocalist.
After collaborating with many local Montreal artists, K- Bust’s career really took off in 2009 when she recorded a song by Benoit Jutras (Cirque du Soleil composer) for the new show of Franco Dragone; (The House of Dancing Water) in Macao, Hong-Kong. Shortly after, she joined forces with renowned Montreal producer Sonny Black, the man behind the international success of artist such as Corneille, Dubmatique, Sheryfa Luna, K’maro, Shy’m, and Kulcha Connection.
Sonny and K-Bust developed an extraordinary musical chemistry, which drove the 11 powerful songs they co-produced for her debut album “Urban Stories.” Revealing a combination of Alicia Keys neo-soul sensibility, Gwen Stefani’s urban style, the feisty attitude of Madonna and Afro-Latin sounds, the album is a faithful reflection of K-Bust’s diverse personality. With “Urban Stories”, K-Bust is ready to invade the pop-music world market.
Good Times

Every night I have a dream
That we're back in time
When life was fun
But then I open my eyes…
And I see where we really are
Obsessed to get… More n’ more
A lot of money, a big castle
A fancy ride uhhhhhh...
What am I gonna do with that
When I turn into dust?
A freak routine
The world spins and spins
The sun comes up
And I'm starting all over again
Oh nooooooooo
I wonder, will this ever stop??
Chorus:
Good times, Bad times
Is this what it’s all about ??
Good times, bedtime
I wanna break it down…
Good times, Bad times
It all comes around
Good times, the Best time
To try to fly away, now...
I wanna fly away now, oh yeahhhh…
I wanna fly away…
Verse II:
Every day I have this feeling
That I'm screaming and
Nobody hears me
I'm alone again
I just realized …
That I spend my days
In such foolish ways
And I forgot about love
What am I gonna do about that
When it’s gonna be too late?? (To go back)
A freak routine
The world spins and spins
The sun comes up
And I'm starting all over again (Oh no)
I wonder, will this last forever??
Chorus ():
Bridge:
Cause I’ll live just once
And it's not forever
I wanna find the way
To get it right
Cause I’ll live just once
And it's not forever
There's no time to waste...no, no
There’s no time to waste
I have no time to waste… no, no
Chorus:
Good times, Bad times
Is this what it’s all about ??
Good times, bedtime
I wanna break it down (Break it, break it down!! )
Good times, Bad times
My faith slides around…
Good times, the Best time
To try to walk away, now...
I wanna fly away, I wanna walk away, oh oh…
I wanna fly away, I wanna walk away, oh yeah
Cause this is all I have…
And It’s all I believe…
In K-Bust's song "Good Times", the artist reflects on the concept of happiness and the pursuit of materialistic success. The song starts with the artist stating that every night she dreams about a time in the past when life was more carefree and fun. However, upon waking up, she is reminded of the current reality in which she is obsessed with accumulating more and more materialistic items such as money, big castles, and fancy cars. The artist questions the value of these possessions when she recognizes that at the end of the day, she will turn into dust. She then proceeds to reflect on her life choices and realizes that she has been wasting her time in meaningless activities and has forgotten about the importance of love. The chorus of the song explores the dichotomy between good and bad times and questions whether it is worth it to pursue materialistic success. The artist ultimately concludes that she wants to break free from this routine and "get it right" before it's too late.
The song's lyrics touch upon themes that are relatable and thought-provoking. The lyrics encourage introspection and self-reflection- to question whether we are happy in our pursuit of success, and to consider the value of relationships and love in our life. The song also highlights the importance of living in the moment and making the most out of the time we have. All in all, K-Bust's "Good Times" is a poignant song that encourages listeners to re-evaluate their priorities in life and seek happiness beyond materialistic possessions.
