Born March 9, 1991, Kendricke D. Brown began his musical journey in the small town of Cartersville, GA; just 40 miles northwest of Atlanta. At age 15, Brown signed his first record deal with Blackshield Entertainment, based out of Atlanta, GA, and worked alongside producers Fatboi and Shawty Redd, and songwriter/artist Kalenna (formerly of Diddy-Dirty Money). A few years later, Brown aka “K-Swag” and the label parted ways allowing him to set his sights on larger horizons. Brown eventually changed his stage name from K-Swag to K-Major, an ode to his favorite octave on the musical scale and a constant reminder of his first love: music.
In 2010, as a student of the Art Institute of Atlanta, Brown established his own record label and publishing company, 3MG Entertainment (MasterMinds Music Group). Following the success of multiple releases including his first single “My Song” off of the self-entitled mixtape The MAJORity Rules, K-Major discontinued his studies and began to pursue a full time career in music. After reaching the national spotlight with live performances on BET’s 106 & Park Wild-Out-Wednesday and BET’s Blaze the Stage, his music began to spread throughout the country. K-Major also tacked on multiple accolades landing song placements on BET’s series The Game, VH-1’s Hit the Floor, ABC’s Lincoln Heights, and the WWE film Knuckleheads.
After signing a recording contract with Redzone Entertainment/Capitol Records, K-Major hit the ground running releasing controversial singles “Smashin” and “A lot of Cash” feat Young Thug off of his album iMJVOR. In 2014, upon his release from Capitol Records, K-Major signed a co-publishing agreement with Redzone Entertainment and Kobalt Music Publishing. Since then, K-Major has racked up an impressive body of music working alongside the Grammy Award winning duo, The Dream and Tricky Stewart, and contributing to songs by major R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop artists such as French Montana (co-producer “Moses” feat Chris Brown and Migos), Jacquees (writer “Perfect”, co-writer/producer “Feel It” feat Lloyd & Rich Homie Quan), and Future (co-producer “Salute”). In the midst of writing and producing ground breaking hits for other artists, K-Major continues to create exciting new music for his fans. His prior releases include "A Lot of Cash" feat Young Thug (2014), a creative collaboration with DJ Spinz entitled "Pursuit of Happiness" (2014), "Free Yourself" by DJ Scream & K-Major (2015), and "Shut It Down" feat August Alsina (2015) off of his first independent album Category V (2015) currently available worldwide.

My dad too
I just wanna make Casey, Kenny
Faye, Sandy just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Philly, Cardi
Cook, Sunny just as glad too
That a change comin' (Change comin')
I Cracked the code I'm on my way now
(Yeah)
People used to whisper that I ain't nothin'
They got nothing to say now
(They got nothin' to say now)
I'm tryna make my way to the top
I heard a lot of people came down
(Hey, hey)
And you can laugh that I can't swim
Because I became the wave now
Now
I had to get out
The way that I am
Is not for the clout
Yes I had my doubts
Me and the devil had bouts
It was just too many to count
(Many to count)
I needed to bounce
Songs in the east
Songs in the west
I had to get down to the south
People they hated my style now
NBX all in they mouth wow
Life is as short as a interlude (Interlude)
Realize today is a gift to you (gift to you)
Be careful of what you get into
Before you find out they are not in to you
(Into you)
This is just knowledge I'm lending you
Friendships are broken
Because people bend the truth
But no lie you know that I been the truth
But no lie you know that I been the truth
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Brenda, Thea
Jason, Greg just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Dre Dion
Makk, Nae just as glad too
I gotta a lot of people watching
So of course failure is not an option
Even when I'm sleep
I keep they head noddin'
Even keep the heat
I know they out plottin'
So I gotta sneak
When I be out shoppin'
And I know it's been a week
Momma I'm sorry
But I gotta keep these weak
Niggas up off me
Gotta go I heard the beep
That's the money callin'
Peace
Say it all the time but never get it
Prolly cause my hands forever itchin'
Life's a game and it's forever glitchin'
Word to UGK I'll be forever pimpin'
As soon as I was born the clock was tickin'
Bringin hate to this world
Was not the mission
Huh, listen
Bringin hate to this world
Was not the mission
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Punkin, Johnny
Leon, James just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Leroy, Atlas
Emily, Val just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Maria, Tammy
Kecia, Shatanna just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
My dad too
I just wanna make Brad, Tyson
Kelsey, Chase just as glad too
I just wanna make my momma proud
Hey
My dad too yeah
I just wanna make my momma proud
Yeah
My dad too hey
