K-Rock Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
I try to stay positive, but the states have records on the shit I did
It wasn't big
Just putting little bags of white in executives' briefcases late at night
My friends ain't much better but we stay tight
Catching cases, losing patience
About to take it to your head
Run the jewels, if you move your fucking shoes, your dead
More than my mouth or my cavity tooth
Under pressure
Trying to push a Tesla
Walking in the concierge be like "Yes Sir"
Bedroom oak wood dressers
Blacker than Aunt Ester
Whatever rapper you like, I'm better my lyrics are fresher
My CDs are like dope testers
Addictive lyrical gestures
Pointing out those who write lesser
The rapper that you love's a bitch and I don't stress her
Or that tight-breasted sweater
Better wrap it up like a dub of some shit
No sticks, no seed or stems in that shit
I'm OG like kush
Operation Push
Watch for the cops, put that shit up in the bush
Yeah
I'm something like a bizarre wizard
Eating gizzards and biscuits
Break guitars into splinters, beat the stage on some Jimi Hendrix shit
I keep a ganja clip smoking out the window
I don't get a lot about this world
But I get dough
Outside the house in the summertime
Game Time
Maple leaves, palm trees, bad breezies, gang signs
Eight o'clock I'm refueling and re-upping my inventory
My shooters got them
But yo that's a whole other story
It's only right that if you bear your chest
You get burned
Los Angeles be on that shoot out shit, they some true Westerns
Keeping food on the table
Keep the lights on, son
Saying grace before you eat
That's butter on them guns
Rounded out the prayers, then hit the streets
To see what's good
But it's a short trip, cause ain't nothing moving
Like it should
The opening lines of the song express regret and reflection, as K-Rock acknowledges his past mistakes and expresses a desire to stay positive despite his troubled history. He references engaging in small-time criminal activities, such as placing bags of drugs in executives' briefcases at night, suggesting a level of desperation and a need to survive within a corrupt system. K-Rock acknowledges that his circle of friends is also flawed, but they stick together through tough times, facing legal troubles and the constant threat of violence.
The lyrics then take a darker turn as K-Rock adopts a more aggressive tone, warning others not to cross him or else face dire consequences. He boasts about his readiness to use violence if provoked, contrasting his tough exterior with the pressures he faces in his daily life. The imagery of walking into exclusive establishments and being treated with respect contrasts sharply with the criminal activities he describes earlier, highlighting the duality of his existence.
K-Rock transitions into a display of his lyrical prowess and confidence in his abilities as a rapper. He asserts his superiority over his competition, likening his music to a potent substance that captivates listeners. He critiques other rappers for their inferior skills and lack of authenticity, asserting his own dominance in the genre. The references to drug culture and street life add to the gritty realism of his lyrics, painting a vivid picture of his environment and mindset.
The final verse delves into themes of survival and perseverance in the face of adversity. K-Rock navigates the treacherous streets of Los Angeles, where violence and crime are everyday realities. He alludes to the struggle to make ends meet, juxtaposing the rituals of prayer and reflection with the harsh realities of street life. The closing lines convey a sense of resignation and frustration with the status quo, as K-Rock laments the lack of opportunities for progress and change in his surroundings. Overall, the lyrics depict a complex and multifaceted portrait of a rapper grappling with his past, his present circumstances, and his aspirations for the future.

I concur. I'm 76 and have been following rock since the late 1950's and have seen it all, and these ladies are just on FIRE !!!!! Damn, but Asia leads the league in great female bands, which we in the US have missed for a long time. In fact we've missed good rock for a long time also and seeing what's coming out of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand is just the thing we need. Rolling Quartz, Band-Maid, Aldious, Nemophila, Doll$Box, Lovebites, Bridear, VOB, SCANDAL (who have now been together for 17 years) and so many more. Thank you ladies, for making an old man smile !!!!!!
