Very sorry to see so much hateful language used in the below comments and the lack of understanding of what our clinic provides. While we understand the cost can be prohibitive, we offer a very high-quality level of service and heal people everyday. We do not have the reputation we have by "being in it for the money". There is substantial overhead in providing this treatment, some of which we already mentioned in our first comment. Our patients are very well cared for and are treated with compassion and respect. Very few medical facilities in the US operate with the level of care that we do. While we wish we could give it away for free, we simply cannot. We offer interest-free financing for one year and superbills to assist patients with filing claims with insurance. Many of them get some money back. No one would be helped by this treatment if we provided it for free because we wouldnt exist. How will those who work 40 hours a week ini this clinic feed themselves? Or pay their own bills? We do not make the profit you assume we do. We are truly disheartened to see your comments and invite you to consider the facts and do some research. Lastly, we urge those suffering to stay away from illegal street ketamine and find something that works for them that is legal and safe. Even if you get unadulterated ketamine, self-administration can be very dangerous and result in death. It may also lead to addiction. The route of administration is very important for therapeutic benefit.

As a medical provider, I noticed a couple of steps that were neglected during the iv placement.. the injection site was not cleaned first with alcohol, the line was not flushed with saline prior to infusion. If that vein blows, it will be very painful. I am assuming vitals were taken prior to initiating the iv, but that is very important as well to use as a baseline then at least every 15-20 minutes during the infusion.

I woke up from a hip replacement surgery 12-18-19 and started hyperventilating. The head anesthesiologist hit me with 100 mg of Ketamine. It was a cooling sensation in my veins and calmed me down within 10 seconds. I was in a coma after that lol. Ketamine is an amazing medicine. After I woke up I felt calm and relaxed.

I just got approved the other day for the prescription. I'm incredibly excited for the potential to help me too like its helped other people I've talked too. I've been struggling with depression, suicidality, and substance abuse as a form of self medication for about 11 years now. I just turned 18 and the causes of my depression etc was from my parents divorce when I was a kid and that combined with every form of abuse excluding sexual messed me up really badly. My mom was really messed up from all forms of abuse as a kid and being put through the foster care system after her parents died. She also turned to substance abuse and turned into a methhead, alcoholic, pill junkie all of it. I've also been told I must likely have pandas and originally we thought I had aspergers which I might still have but I was able to deal with that before very well. All of my relationships have deteriorated to a barely sustainable level me and my girlfriend almost broke up less than a month ago bc of how bad I was getting she also suffers from depression and she had substance abuse issues mostly pills and alchohol. Me and her both got so much better after finding each other but I started getting bad again after a year ish and I got progressively worse over the last 8-10 months. I've overdosed countless times at this point with a few of the times being too close to death for my girlfriend and families comfort. I'm going to try low dose kratom tomorow to tie me over till I can get this treatment since the process to get prescribed was a little more difficult for me than it usually is but I'm really really excited after watching a bunch of after the treatment videos from people seeing how much it has helped. I might post an update if anyone comments or reacts to this ig and tell you what it did and if it helped. Thx for reading my story lol

The blindfold part is really not necessary in my case it would’ve made my experience a lot more unpleasant. Looking around while under the procedure is enjoyable. Positive music and calm music is where it’s at. If you guys are planning to do this treatment remember to bring everything necessary such as a phone charger and water. Basically doing everything while under ketamine is difficult but at the same time kind of fun. Drinking water is difficult since your body is out of it and it’s hard to pick up anything. When going through the phone it’s very interesting everything is like distorted. Your trying to read but everything around the words is moving so you can’t really read because it’s hard not to look at the crazy wavy distortion. But all in all 6 treatments is a very good idea for anyone suffering with depression or anxiety. One thing to remember if you have Panic Attacks it will be on your mind during the treatment but in reality panic attacks aren’t real it’s all about what your mind thinks, once you realize that it doesn’t hurt you and it won’t cause you actual harm you kind of relax. But at the same time it’s very unpleasant. One time during the treatment my heart rate went from 70 bpm to 145 bpm in a matter of seconds. I saw my heart rate and at point something clicked and said CALM DOWN NOW and I started saying watch it’s about to drop back down to my normal rhythms and it did in about 30 seconds. It’s all about mind control and if you have a good doctor with you get ready because your on your way to happiness!

Hi , I apologize I'm just seeing this thread. My ketamine spray is compounded. It's ketamine hcl. I take 2 sprays in each nostril. Each pump is 10mg so I'm getting a total 40 mg. I started every night before bed then I cut back to every 3rd night. I will, on occasion take on the 2nd night if I feel I need it.. I'm very in tune with my mind and body, so this helps me greatly. I am in frequent contact with my Dr. To discuss how I am feeling. It has been a life saver for me. I was stuck in a perpetual loop of thought and emotion and this has broke the loop. I didn't know how to stop my thoughts. I couldn't. Until this.

Hey I'm bipolar 1, albeit mainly depressed for the most part. I've had adverse reactions to every antidepressant I've tried as well as a mood disruption. Therefore, I'm wondering if you have any bipolar patients that do well with this treatment, without having any sort of mood dysregulation/fluctuation into mania. I have gone through 6 treatments with KCLA last year with incredible results. The experience is very intense and I find the more comfortable and prepared I am, the better the therapeutic experience. Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Pain all improved greatly. I could tell I needed a booster treatment bc they continue to send mood monitors and I can view the graphs of my responses whenever I want. I returned to KCLA in March of 2022 for two sessions and they were incredibly helpful. The FDA needs to get hip to these treatments as they work. @PrestigeWorldWide When a patient gets destitute as in my case, I believe a person will be willing to try anything for relief. Ketamine did not work for me though. One treatment and my brain said died.

There is a possibility it could help! We don't prescribe the nasal spray so I cannot speak directly on that. We offer IV infusions and lozenges in select cases. If you find the nasal spray isn't working I would definitely look into IV infusions since the success rate is the highest. In general, ketamine can be very helpful for sleep issues.

I had a ketamine infusion for chronic pain. It was the worst thing I've ever gone through. The doctor overdosed me, I was vomiting and yet she kept increasing the dose. my mom recorded me and I was not mentally there. I was no longer in the room, I could only hear a faint voice and didnt know what was being said. My mom kept grabbing my hand which the slightest touch felt like sand paper rubbing off my skin. I kept trying to rip out the Iv, and I was trying to break through the wall next to the bed. I was in this state for over an hour in a half and wanted it to end. Finally when I came back, the doctor said " let's schedule you for another infusion." Yeah right, I would never reccomend anyone to have this done. And it didnt help with my pain.

Hi Elizabeth, we are so sorry that you had that experience. It sounds like it was frightening and uncomfortable. It is important to clarify that different providers have different protocols and standards of care; we cannot speak to another provider's care. The infusions themselves should not be painful, you may want to speak with your doctor about this. Dissociation and out-of-body experiences are normal, but it is possible for the provider to make the infusion both tolerable and comfortable. We require our patients to fast for 4 hours prior to the infusion to reduce the possibility of nausea and we administer Zofran if a patient becomes nauseous, as this can be a side effect of ketamine. Additionally, we administer benzodiazepines if a patient is experiencing discomfort or anxiety. We recommend five 4-hour long infusions over five consecutive days for our pain patients and it typically takes the full course of treatment for a patient to feel relief, so it is unlikely that a patient would feel relief after just one infusion. The first infusion can be challenging for patients, so please try not to get discouraged. It's important to remember all of the factors at play, as this can be a life-saving and transformative treatment for many people. You will feel slightly dissociated, so lines may seem blurry, sounds may seem heightened, almost like a slight out of body experience. Once the infusion is turned off the ketamine will wear off pretty quickly, however, you may feel a little wobbly/groggy for a little.

Many patients are able to wean off antidepressants if ketamine infusions are successful, especially if the antidepressants aren't working or side-effects are intolerable. Tapering off should be done slowly, under the guidance of the prescriber and only after a full series of infusions has been completed. Booster infusions may be indicated sooner rather than later if mood drops significantly or withdrawal effects become prominent. Maintenance with booster infusions down the line should be emphasized. The ultimate goal should always be the optimization of mood and medication dose rather than to be off medications for the sake of being off.

Hi Michel, unfortunately I do not have any information on the other substances you mentioned. You may have minimal confusion during the ketamine infusion itself, however, that should end within 10-15 minutes of the infusion ending. Every patient has a different response to the ketamine treatment and comes at different intervals. You can always check on the length of infusion and dose if you are not receiving relief as long as you'd like.

minimal to moderate sedation with ketamine for mood, so you are conscious and awake the entire time. its a gradual infusion for one hour. with procedural sedation, you receive much more of the medicine (at least 3-5 times) and all at once.

They might have stuck with her a little longer so she could relate the initial impressions of the drug hitting her brain. I did the whole shebang and I could talk for a minute or so but soon lost that ability as the drug built up.
My setup wasn’t that fancy - no mask or music.
I can see where some people won’t like it. One problem is you have to pee after a little while but you’re tied up.
For me I still can’t decide if it helped at all as it some happened some bad personal events occurred during those weeks. Did the ketamine somehow effect my relationships? Quite possibly but they weren’t giving me any slack even after I revealed a deep medical procedure.

This happens in the US too and is called "comfort care". It involves upping the morphine dosage (with some possible additions) until the person checks out in a few days. It's a frequent practice in hospice if the person is in pain or other form of tough situation near death. IMO, it's a form of euthanasia without our society acknowledging it as that (no judgement).

@Ahmed Fraz It was very helpful for me and I don't regret it. The days that I went for the infusions afterwards I was very sleepy and would sleep for a while after. I would also be very thirsty but I don't believe I had that many side effects. If you have not used any drugs before it might be overwhelming at first but you just have to relax and let the effects go through you.

Being a Nurse, let's just pick this apart real fast. Hopefully you use a tegaderm or some form of dressing over the iv site and not just some tape that is being touched from patient to patient. Also, the patient should be hooked up to the monitor prior to any meds being started to evaluate a baseline. And finally, what diagnosis do you attach to the infusion for billing purposes that allows you to do this, because with all the regulation of controlled substances I'm impressed this is actually legal.

Hi Jordan, thank you for your interest in Ketamine Infusion Therapy! The purpose of this video was to show what an IV process looks like. As stated in the video, this was done on our director of operations; it was not a real IV and there was no ketamine given. We do check all vitals before any meds are administered. Tegaderm is useful for an IV that's meant to stay in for 48-72 hours, our IV's are only for 55 min's, so in our case it is not necessary. Ketamine is legal and safe and has been approved as an anesthetic for over 50 years. Ketamine for mood disorders is considered off label. I can turn on volume, is too late and god knows where are headphones. So one question I red down somebody cured with few ketamine shots long term depression. This is a difficult question! Ketamine Infusion Therapy is a treatment, not a cure. Although some patients do not need to come back after the initial series of treatment, many do come back for "booster infusions" or touchup treatments. Depression definitely can cause some chemical changes in the brain which can be helped with antidepressants or treatments such as ours, however, there is much more to depression, and what's causing your depression, which is where things such as therapy can be extremely helpful. As demonstrated in the video, the medical team will establish the IV, monitor baseline vitals, and then start the infusion. Vitals are monitored throughout the infusion as well. I am wondering if anyone knows if a person with Interstitial Cystitis would NOT be a good candidate for ketamine infusion therapy. I have read that ketamine can cause cystitis and I am wondering if the dose and method of this treatment could increase cystitis.

What do I do I have insurance which won’t pay for this treatment I’ve had eight operations I’m a chronic pain patient I’ve lost one kidney so pain doctors are hesitant to perform blocks or implants for fear that I might lose another kidney and I don’t wanna go to the transplant route if I could even get one this sounds like a godsend but I can’t afford it what am I supposed to do first do no harm supposed to die well you can’t afford it I don’t know what to do if this worked it would be a blessing I’ve often said if I had to choose between depression and anxiety and the intense pain I’d rather get rid of the depression and anxiety I just it just seems like a rich person‘s treatment and I’ve done my research I don’t know where to turn I hope the rest of you get all the help you need I pray you all do thank you for at least hopefully listening and reading this and thank God you doctors were pioneer This treatment God bless you as well

That video wasn’t worth the time. The whole point of clicking on it was to actually watch some one as they experienced the ketamine, not watch them get the IV inserted, reclined and given an eye mask.

To many people this video may have been upsetting. For good reasons (1 being the argument that the people who would benefit the most, will never get to experience this). BUT that does not discredit this video.
This video helped me a bunch!
I am in houston Texas, starting my first round next Tuesday. I have extreme depression, anxiety, a panic disorder and schizoaffective disorder. After 10 plus years of medicines and doctors, treatments inpatient and out, I’m hoping this helps. This video helped stifle the insane anxiety and paranoia I have about my first visit and how it may go for someone.
I am very lucky to have the opportunity to have found a cheaper clinic to offer these services.
Great video and thanks! From research, it seems ketamine may be one of the most effective ways to combat some mental illnesses. Hopefully one day insurance will cover this, if not, hopefully the health community will be much more affordable soon.
In the meantime, I don’t think it makes sense to deem this practice ineffective, just because not everyone can have access to it. It’s unfortunate but I don’t believe most of the people in the comments are aware that it doesn’t discredit the benefits of infusion.
