Although outgoing and adventurous as a child (she's a Leo after all), K.Raydio also suffered from a tragic flaw: stage fright. Privately acknowledging that music was her passion, she still refused to sing in front of people - including her family. Focusing her attention on sports and academics, she kept her musical dream quiet for many years.
A series of injuries in high school led K.Raydio back into a music-driven direction. Although still involved in athletics, she found true happiness in the arts. Encouraged by her music teacher to try out for the school musical as a freshman, K.Raydio continued to be involved throughout all four years, having the lead role as Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly" as a senior.
Leaving Minneapolis for college, K.Raydio attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Graduating with a B.A. in Communication Arts, she was involved with various school choirs but allowed her stage fright to negatively impact any other musical endeavors. Upon graduation, she made a promise to herself that she would no longer make any excuses. THIS is the result.
Releasing her debut "The Significant (Other) EP" at the end of August, K.Raydio is hungry. No longer waiting for opportunities to open up, she is taking matters into her own hands and making music that truly makes her happy. Her only hope is that by pursuing her dream, she will motivate others to do the same.
Who is K.Raydio? You're about to find out.

But everywhere I turn, I turn around
And you're right back in my face
And everything you say
I can't get away from you
I just can't escape
'Cause you're at my favorite bar
The smell of your Chanel 5 won't die hard
Yeah I don't stand a chance
You're hanging with my friends
When I see you again that's when it starts
We break just like it ain't no thing
But we ridin' on a boomerang
Our love is like a rubber band
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
Hey, already on the way
End up at your place when I should be driving home
Girl what was I thinking
Girl what was I drinking
Trying to tell myself that it can't be wrong
You were at my favorite bar
Your hoodie's in my car
The smell of your Chanel 5 won't die hard
Yeah I don't stand a chance
You're hanging with my friends
When I see you again that's when it starts
We break just like it ain't no thing
But we ridin' on a boomerang
Our love is like a rubber band
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
We break just like it ain't no thing
But we ridin' on a boomerang
Our love is like a rubber band
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
We break just like it ain't no thing
But we ridin' on a boomerang
Our love is like a rubber band
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
We break just like it ain't no thing
But we ridin' on a boomerang
Our love is like a rubber band
Snap back, snap back
Here we go again
In "Boomerang," K.Raydio sings about a love that just won't quit. Despite her efforts to move on, her ex-lover seems to be everywhere she turns, from her favorite bar to her car where his hoodie still lingers. Even when she tries to resist his charms, she finds herself back at his place wondering what she was thinking. The chorus emphasizes the cyclical nature of their relationship, comparing it to a boomerang and a rubber band that keeps snapping back into place.
The lyrics suggest a sense of frustration and helplessness on K.Raydio's part. She's trapped in this on-again-off-again affair with someone who seems to have a hold over her no matter what she does. The repetition of "Here we go again" in the chorus drives home the point that she's stuck in this pattern with no clear way out.
Overall, "Boomerang" captures the emotional rollercoaster that many people experience in tumultuous relationships. It's a relatable theme that's conveyed through K.Raydio's soulful vocals and catchy hooks, making it a standout track in her discography.
