On September 27, 2019, Woollim Entertainment announced Kei would make her solo debut with the extended play (EP) Over and Over, under her real name Kim Ji-Yeon.[16] The album and the lead single ‘I Go’ music video were released on October 8. The single was composed by Junzo and TAK and written by Junzo and ARRAN. A beautiful piano melody and hopeful sounds of string instruments harmonize well with Kei's voice. Through a live broadcast on V Live, Kei shared, “‘I Go’ is a song that will help you find hope when you feel like you’re alone and can only feel despair. I hope that everyone listening to this song will feel that they are precious to me and provide energy to me."
2. Kei is a rapper from the Dorcester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Citing influences like Rico Nasty and BKTHERULA, she released her debut EP baby steps in July 2021. Her second EP, terrible twos was released in May 2022.
In September 2022, she self-released her breakout single, berserk, which was featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Hip-Hop playlists. In a Vanyaland interview about the track, she says "I feel like it [my energy] comes from keeping my inner child alive. I feel like transferring that energy into my music was therapeutic, and my way of reclaiming all that negativity in a way that served me. Having my music be something people can identify with — I feel like a small piece of me helps keep their inner kid alive, too.”
3. Hayashikei (ハヤシケイ) also known as Eshinajai-KEI (絵師じゃない) better known as KEI is japanese vocaloid music producer who have created a number of works using Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, and VY1. KEI's most notable work is Tower; which is his first work to enter the Nico Hall of Fame.
