Combat fatigues a notebook full of rhyme schemes that I keep in my backpack
I always carry my notebook full of ideas and lyrics, dressed in combat gear to look tough and always ready

I'm sharing my personal story and life on stage through my music

Spending a little time showing love to my wife
I prioritize spending time with my wife and showing her love

The way Christ loved us sacrificed his life
I admire the selfless sacrifice that Christ made for us

Bore them stripes restoring the life
I think of Christ dying on the cross, wearing the stripes and scars that restored our lives

Doing shows on the stage seeing souls getting saved
I enjoy doing shows while spreading the message of Christ's love and seeing people come to salvation

I envision someone driving through the neighborhood while sitting on spinning rims

I like Saturdays and just waking up late
I enjoy the leisure of sleeping in on Saturdays

I prefer instant gratification and dislike waiting for things

I like tasty cakes, and Philly cheese steaks
I love the food from my hometown, Philadelphia

And the Tampa bay Bucs and Miami hurricanes (whuuuut...)
I'm a fan of the football teams from Tampa Bay and Miami

Now I like my shoes clean with a fresh pair of jeans
I always like my shoes and jeans to be clean and fresh

And some rice and some beans and a box of krispy kremes
I enjoy eating a meal with rice and beans, and for dessert, Krispy Kreme donuts

I like Mt. Dew 'cause I like the caffeine
I like drinking Mountain Dew because it contains caffeine

And the pistons and wolverines is my sports teams
I'm a fan of the Detroit Pistons and the University of Michigan Wolverines sports teams

I like the Double-Double at the In and Out Burger
My favorite burger is the Double-Double at In and Out Burger restaurant

But I don't like McDonalds they always mess up my order
I don't like McDonald's because they always get my order wrong

I like my man Spongebob and Homestar Runner
I enjoy watching the television shows, Spongebob Squarepants and Homestar Runner

I like flip flops and tank tops in the summer
I prefer wearing comfortable and casual clothing during the summer

I like to make goofy faces when I smile for the camera
I like to have fun and make silly faces when taking pictures

I like to rock old school hip hop and mc hammer
I enjoy listening to classic hip hop music, including MC Hammer

I like Xbox clean socks I like Canada
I am a fan of Xbox, clean socks, and Canada

But there's one thing I want and this is what I'm asking ya
Despite enjoying many things, there is one thing that I truly desire, and I'm asking for it

I love the way that God just takes a man
I admire the transformative power of God to change a person's life

And then changes him gives him strength to stand
I appreciate how God can give a person the inner strength to overcome any obstacle

I love when the world says I ain't got a chance
I find joy in proving the world wrong when they underestimate me

See I'm loving that you're the one that tells me I can
I love that God is the ultimate source of encouragement and motivates me to believe in myself

I love the fact that you just loved me first
I'm grateful that God loved me first before I loved Him

You erased my past and freed me from the curse
I'm thankful that God has forgiven my past mistakes and released me from their consequences

And even at the times when I just act my worse
I appreciate that God still loves me, even when I don't act my best

I love that ya take me back that I don't deserve
I am grateful that God always accepts me back into His love, even though I know I don't deserve it

I love every time I open your word
I love the Bible and the messages of hope and love that it conveys

That I see in every line every chapter and verse
I find something new and profound in every verse and chapter of the Bible

That your love made you die and that love that occurred
I appreciate that God's love for us led Him to sacrifice His life on the cross

It left you crucified 'cause your love for the world
God's love for us was so great that He was willing to die for the world's sins and save us

And I love how you just love me so much
I am overjoyed that God loves me so unconditionally and immensely

I love how you provide just more than enough
I appreciate that God always provides for my needs and even blesses me more than I deserve

And with the rhyme that I say now that I bust
I share my testimony and love for God through my music and lyrics
