Invisible Man
Kadison Joshua Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Woke up this morning with a funny feeling,
Wasn't really sure what it was all about.
But it felt like I was disappearing,
So I ran to the mirror to check it out.
I said, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
But why do I feel like the invisible man?"
I stumbled back into the bedroom,
And stared out at the rising sun.
Then I heard myself shout out the window,
Not really talking to anyone.
I yelled, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
But why do I feel like the invisible man?"
Lights went on, people started yelling,
"Will the crazy man go back to bed."
And there I was, laughing out my window,
Feeling much better now, somebody heard what I said.
Well it's no big thing, no revelation,
No answer to these lives we lead.
But I think I do know one thing;
Sometimes I think we all need to say;
"Here I am, here I am, here I am,"
When life makes us feel like the invisible man.
Lights went on, people started yelling,
"Will the crazy man go back to bed."
And there I was, laughing out my window,
Feeling much better now, somebody heard what I said.
Woke up this morning with a funny feeling,
Wasn't really sure what it was all about.
But it felt like I was disappearing,
So I ran to the mirror to check it out.
I said, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
But sometimes I feel like the invisible,

Here I am, here I am, here I am
But why do I feel like the invisible man

Overall Meaning

In Kadison Joshua's song "Invisible Man", the singer wakes up with a strange feeling, unsure of what's happening. He looks in the mirror and feels like he's disappearing. He starts to shout, "Here I am," but wonders why he feels like he's invisible. People around him think he's crazy, but he feels better after someone hears what he says. The song ends with the singer questioning why he feels like the invisible man even though he knows he's present.

The song explores the feeling of invisibility, which can be interpreted in different ways. Perhaps the singer is feeling ignored or unimportant, or maybe he's questioning his own existence. He finds relief in shouting out and being heard, but the feeling of invisibility still lingers.

The lyrics are relatable to anyone who has ever felt insignificant or overlooked. The simple melody and straightforward lyrics make the message easy to understand and resonate with.

I'm not a fan of Georgia Rain, but all the others are treasures. Funny, I lived in Georgia when the song came out... or at least when I discovered it.

Susan Nagy

One of my favorite all time songs. Describes perfectly what a deep soft soul sounds like!

Great song.. its about depersonalization which is a symptom of depression when your self-esteem is rock bottom...you feel like your not YOU anymore,a stranger in your own mind...a very scary and "not so funny feeling"....

I thought he was going to be the next Elton John. Not sure why his music never took off. This album was a gem.

First heard Joshua sing 'Jessie'. I played this wonderful song a lot. I got curious to hear what other stuff he did and I like his style a lot.
