Woke up this morning with a funny feeling,
The songwriter opened his day with a peculiar sense that something was amiss.

Wasn't really sure what it was all about.
Although he felt something was wrong, he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

But it felt like I was disappearing,
He sensed that he was gradually fading away from existence.

So I ran to the mirror to check it out.
In a bid to verify his instincts, he hurried to the mirror to inspect himself.

He affirmed his presence with the statement 'Here I am,' repeated for emphasis.

But why do I feel like the invisible man?"
He couldn't help but wonder why he felt so unnoticed and unseen.

I stumbled back into the bedroom,
Feeling disoriented and unsure following his discovery, he went back to his room.

And stared out at the rising sun.
He gazed in the direction of the sun's ascent, contemplating on his thoughts.

Then I heard myself shout out the window,
He suddenly found himself screaming out the window, seemingly to nobody in particular.

Not really talking to anyone.
There was nobody with whom he was communicating or interacting.

I yelled, "Here I am, here I am, here I am
Again, he reiterated his presence with the same phrase, hoping to make a statement or confirm his identity.

But why do I feel like the invisible man?"
Despite his efforts, he still felt isolated and undervalued.

Lights went on, people started yelling,
Responding to his loud vocalization, individuals around him began to shout also.

"Will the crazy man go back to bed."
They deemed him a maniac acting out of his senses and asked him to retire to bed.

And there I was, laughing out my window,
Despite the embarrassment, he found humor in the situation and chuckled to himself by the window.

Feeling much better now, somebody heard what I said.
His spirit was lifted by the fact that someone had paid attention to his cry even amidst the commotion.

Well it's no big thing, no revelation,
He came to the realization that feeling invisible was not a new concept or an extraordinary epiphany.

No answer to these lives we lead.
Although he wasn't sure of the solution, he knew that we all face various challenges in our daily lives.

But I think I do know one thing;
He was certain there was one thing he had figured out amidst his confusion.

Sometimes I think we all need to say;
In light of his recent experience, he advised that sometimes we all need to make our presence known.

"Here I am, here I am, here I am,"
He reiterated his previous statement, emphasizing that sometimes, it was important to announce oneself.

When life makes us feel like the invisible man.
He concluded by reminding us that life can make us feel insignificant, but we can assert ourselves by saying, "Here I am, here I am, here I am."

Here I am, here I am, here I am
He repeated the phrase once more- this time as a personal reaffirmation.

But sometimes I feel like the invisible,
Despite his confidence and recent discovery, he admitted to having moments of invisibility.

Here I am, here I am, here I am
Nonetheless, he concluded by reasserting his presence and identity- 'Here I am'.

But why do I feel like the invisible man
He once again acknowledged his struggles with feeling overlooked and undervalued.
