Sotto me wo tojireba nijimu shokuzai no shizuku

Sora ni mi wo kazaseba usuku ukabu kioku

Ano kusaki no you ni daichi ni ne wo nobashi

Ame wo uketomeru kokoro ga tada hoshikatta
Kasuru nioi to tobikau koe

Okisari ni sareta kono mi daite

Sotto me wo tojireba nijimu shokusai no shizuku

Kaze ni mi wo kazaseba usuku ukabu kioku

Itami sae ukenu katai kono karada wa

Tsuchi kaeru hi wo kono ki ni yudane kuchi yuku

Saigo ni shitta kono omoi wa

Sonata e to todoku hane wo motazu

Sotto me wo tojireba nijimu shokuzai no shizuka

Kaze ni mi wo kazaseba usuku ukabu kioku

Kitsuku dakiyosetemo tsutau nukumori wo shirazu

Kami wo naderarete mo tsuburu hitomi akaku

Nanimokamo ga shiro to kuro ni tozasare

Inochi hakobu kaze ni sarasare

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Kagrra's song "Genoku" paint a picture of a person who is reflecting on their life while standing in a forest. The first two lines talk about how if they close their eyes, they can see drops of food coloring leaking out, and if they lift their body to the sky, they can feel the light memories floating by. The third and fourth lines compare the person to a tree, reaching for the ground like a plant, and yearning for the rain, just like the tree needs rain to survive. The next two lines describe the movement of the wind, carrying a scent and a voice, while the next two lines describe how the person has been forsaken and abandoned to fend for themselves. The final lines talk about the feeling of being trapped in both black and white, and how the person has been carried away by the wind, carrying life with it.
