The group was founded in the end of the 1970's. In the early 80's the group released a large number of demos, with their sad roots reggae and Swedish lyrics they ended up being a popular local band. In 1985 their first LP was released, Blacka Rasta, which included the best of their demos. Quite heavy roots reggae with political, metaphorical lyrics about large and small things in life; about being unaccepted, clothing brands, military duty, pollution of the environment.
Kalle Baah released their strongest musical album in 1992, called Natural, with lyrics written in English. They released the album on their own label DigiDub, and it became quite popular in Sweden.
The band continued their tour and 1995 they released their album Soon Come.. recorded in Kingston, Jamaica. A much happier and less roots oriented album.
The 10'th of May Kalle Baah released their latest album, Brada Dagar, recorded in their own 'Red Hut Studio'. This album is the first Swedish recording since Blacka Rasta.

Autumn
Kalle Baah Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Wouldn't throw my love away
I'm coming with the tide
So I never gonna ride off on a side
This is my chariot
My lonely days are gone
This is my chariot
I never gonna blow it once again
I'm coming with the autumn
I'm coming with the autumn wind
I'm coming with the autumn
I'm coming with the autumn wind
Pick down the apple from the tree
It's charity for me you see
The autumn wind blow chilly and cold
And you are the one that I wanna hold
Please take your stand and come with me
Cast your spell and set us free
From ball and chain
And then we know which way to go
I'm coming with the autumn
I'm coming with the autumn wind
I'm coming with the autumn
I'm coming with the autumn wind
The lyrics in Kalle Baah's "Autumn" speak to the singer's desire to express their love and commitment to someone else. The singer declares that they wouldn't throw their love away and that they are coming with the tide, indicating that the singer is prepared to go with the natural flow of their relationship. The repeated phrase "This is my chariot" is a declaration of the singer's strength and determination, as they state that their lonely days are gone and they will not make the same mistake of blowing their chance at love again. The singer addresses their lover directly, stating that their eyes are their price, implying that they are willing to do what it takes to win them over.
The singer uses imagery associated with the autumn season to further convey their message. They instruct their lover to pick down an apple from a tree, indicating the value that the singer places on small, meaningful gestures. The autumn wind blowing "chilly and cold" could represent the challenges that the couple might face in their relationship, and the importance of holding onto one another during tough times. The singer then encourages their lover to take a stand with them, casting a spell and breaking free from any metaphorical "ball and chain" that might be holding them back.
Overall, "Autumn" is a song that speaks to the power of love and the importance of taking risks and being committed to one's partner. It encourages listeners to embrace the natural flow of their relationships and to appreciate the small, meaningful moments that make up a life together.
