Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Aloha e aloha e
'Ano 'ai ke aloha e
Aloha ae aloha e
A nu ay ki aloha e

There's no place I'd rather be
Then on my surfboard out at sea
Lingering in the ocean blue
And If I had one wish come true
I'd surf till the sun sets
Beyond the horizon

A wiki wiki mai lohi lohi
Lawe mai I ko papa he'e nalu
Flyin by on the Hawaiian roller coaster ride

A wiki wiki mai lohi lohi
La we mai iko papa he na lu
Pi'I na nalu la lahalaha
O ka moana hanupanupa
Lalala I kala hanahana
Me ke kai hoene I ka pu'e one
Helehele mai kakou e
Hawaiian roller coaster ride

There's no place I'd rather be
Than on the seashore dry, wet free
On golden sand is where I lay
And if I only had my way
I'd play til the sun sets
Beyond the horizon

Lalala I kala hanahana
Me ke kai hoene I ka pu'e one
It's time to try the Hawaiian Roller coaster ride

Hang loose, hang ten, howzit, shake a shaka
No worry, no fear, ain't no biggie braddah
Cuttin' in, cuttin' up, cuttin' back, cuttin' out
Frontside, backside, goofy footed, wipe out
Let's get jumpin', surf's up and pumpin'
Coastin' with the motion of the ocean
Whirlpools swirling, cascading, twirling
Hawaiian roller coaster ride

There's no place I'd rather be
Then on my surfboard out at sea
Lingering in the ocean blue
And if I had one wish come true
I'd surf till the sun sets
Beyond the horizon

A wiki wiki mai lohi lohi
Lawe mai I ko papa he'e nalu
Flyin by on the Hawaiian roller coaster ride

A wiki wiki mai lohi lohi
La we mai iko papa he na lu
Pi'I na nalu la lahalaha
O ka moana hanupanupa
Lalala I kala hanahana
Me ke kai hoene I ka pu'e one

Helehele mai kakou e
Hawaiian roller coaster ride

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus's song, "Lilo And Stitch Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride," celebrate the beauty and fun of surfing in the ocean. The first verse starts with a greeting of "Aloha e," which means "welcome" or "hello" in Hawaiian. The lyrics then express the love for being on a surfboard in the sea, enjoying the blue waters, and surfing until the sun sets beyond the horizon. The chorus repeats the phrase "A wiki wiki mai lohi lohi," which means "quickly come sliding," and describes the excitement of riding the Hawaiian roller coaster on a surfboard.

I can't believe this was 2001/2002; those kids are now parents themselves singing that song with their children, how wonderful.

@darflexswolez2266

I don't think they are parents but I think they are in their early-mid 20s

@amandaleon3329

Whats Up right?! I was 11 when this came out and now I’m a mother myself and singing this and playing this movie for my kids☺️

@jeannetteramirez3704

@@darflexswolez2266 actually, some are parents! I have 3 kids and they all watched this movie when they were little. My son has his daughter when he was 22 and my daughter just had her son and she is 20. So now my granddaughter that is 2 has watched this movie already.

Wherever you are, in every culture there is a strange connection between people and water

@karinaflorez562
