Let Me Go
Kane Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Stay tonight
Let me hold you like I never did before
Take my arms
And let me hold you like I never did before
And I should have tried just to talk about this
Waiting, ending
I should have tried just to let you know that I'm
Still here
So before you let me go

Take my hands
Let me touch you like I never did before
Take my heart and let me love you
Like I never did before
Like I never did before

And I should have tried just to talk about it
Waiting, ending
I should have tried just to let you know
That I'm still here

But we waste it every time
Now my heart is on the line
And we see ourselves no more
When we're closing every door
It's so much harder than before
So before you let me go

Before you let me go

Save the dance and let me spin you
Till your world is turning round and round
Round and round, round and round
Save the chance and let me show you
Just like you need a little more
Just like you need a little more

And I should have tried just to talk about it
Waiting, ending
I should have tried just to let you know
That I'm still here

But we waste it every time
Now my heart is on the line
Until we see oursleves no more
When we're closing every door
It's so much harder than before
So much harder than before
So before you let me go

Before you let me go

But we waste it every time
Now my heart is on the line
Until we see oursleves no more
When we're closing every door
It's so much harder than before
So much harder than before

But we wast it every time
Now my heart is on the line
And now we bruise with every step
When we're closing every door
Can we make it easier

Some time?
Some time

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Kane's song "Let Me Go" are about a lover who wants a second chance at a relationship they feel was prematurely ended. Kane begs his lover to stay for the night and let him hold and touch them like he never did before. He admits that he should have tried to talk things out before the relationship ended and that he wants his lover to know that he's still there for them. Kane knows that they waste every chance they have, causing their hearts to be on the line, but he wants to save the dance and show his lover that they need a little more. The song is a plea for a second chance.

The chorus of the song is repeated twice, and it emphasizes the urgency of Kane's pleas. They waste every chance they have, and now Kane's heart is on the line. He doesn't want to lose his lover, so he's begging them to give him another try. The line "when we're closing every door, it's so much harder than before" shows how difficult it is to move on when they keep ending their relationship.

The song's bridge changes the tone slightly, admitting that they bruise with every step they take, and Kane is asking if they can make things easier. This could be interpreted as Kane being willing to compromise and work on their relationship together to make it less painful.

Overall, "Let Me Go" is a song about regret and wanting to make things right. Kane wants a second chance to hold and touch his lover like he never did before and show them they need a little more. He wants to work together to save their relationship and make things easier.

@geu6270

I was hooked with the first 5 guys he knocked out in the old good fight scenes they used to choreograph.

He melts my heart & I’m old😂😂😂

@shimmyalot

You should see him on The Librarians! He plays a guy named Jake Stone. Stone is still a tough guy (grew up in Oklahoma working on his Daddy's oil rig) but he's also a scholar that has several PhDs in and honorary degrees from around the world in history, literature, and the arts. He hid the scholarly side of himself and his career ambitions from his family because he didn't think they'd understand. Stone is a really cool character.

The fact that this only has 131,000 views is bloody criminal. Highly talented yet highly underrated.
