Having released his debut EP last year which received widespread support from a diverse range of cultural tastemakers such as i-D, Dazed, Complex, The Fader, and GRM, as well as support across Radio 1, 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Kiss FRESH, Kasien is rapidly making sure his presence is known.
 
Born in south London , he credits “life, my Nigerian and Jamaican heritage, death, my parents, drugs, nightlife and emotions” as the major influences behind his music, which materialises as forward-thinking international-sounding rap. “Music has always been a part of my life,” he says. “All day, all night, just tunes being played.” Despite recalling his dad, DJ Swing of Choice FM and the Boogie Bunch, playing classics from Biggie to Erykah Badu, young Kasien rebelled and found his first love in the dark and moody world of nu-metal.
 
Kasien has toured with the likes of Slowthai, Bakar, and featured on records with the legendary Mike Skinner of The Streets, Flohio, and Cadenza, as well as receiving co-signs from global artists like Davido and Amine. At such an early stage he has partnered with brands such as Nike, Places + Faces, A Cold Wall, Tommy Hilfiger proving his versatility as an artist and how much more he has to offer.
