Come Here
Kath Bloom Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

There's wind that blows in from the north
And it says that loving takes this course
Come here
Come here

No I'm not impossible to touch
I have never wanted you so much
Come here
Come here

Have I never laid down by your side
Baby, let's forget about this pride
Come here
Come here

Well I'm in no hurry
You don't have to run away this time
I know you're timid
But it's gonna be all right this time

There's wind that blows in from the north
And it says that loving takes this course
Come here
Come here

Please, hey, hey
Hey, hey

Overall Meaning

In Kath Bloom's song "Come Here," she sings about the complexity of love and relationships. The opening line, "There's wind that blows in from the north, and it says that loving takes this course," suggests that love is a force beyond our control, and it will follow its natural course regardless of our wishes or intentions. The repetition of "Come here" throughout the song emphasizes the desire for physical closeness and emotional intimacy.

As the song progresses, Bloom addresses her lover directly, reassuring them that she is not "impossible to touch," and expressing her intense longing for them. She also pleads with them to forget their pride and join her in vulnerability and intimacy. The lines "Well, I'm in no hurry / You don't have to run away this time / I know you're timid / But it's gonna be all right this time" show her patience and understanding of her partner's hesitation, while also emphasizing the importance of being present and patient for love to take its course.

Overall, "Come Here" is a poignant and deeply emotional exploration of the complexities of love and relationships. It reminds us that true intimacy requires vulnerability, patience, and a willingness to let go of our individual pride and fears in order to connect with another person.

@FENIXANIMATIONS

It's been a while since I've felt like Jesse or Celine, and with our current situation I really don't know when I'll be close to that. But I guess the reason that I rewatch this movie so often its because during the hour and a half that this movie takes place I am in love. This movie gives me something that life doesn't at the moment. It's just therapy for me honestly. I'm just thankful, this movie is wonderful.
