Nothing At All
Keating Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's amazing how you
Can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word
You can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing

The smile on your face let's me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall
You say it best
When you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear
People talking out loud (ooh)
But when you hold me near (you hold me near)
You drown out the crowd (drown out the crowd)
Try as they may they can never define
What's being said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face let's me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall
You say it best (you say it best)
When you say nothing at all

(Ohh) the smile on your face let's me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me (ooh)
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall
You say it best (you say it best)
When you say nothing at all

(You say it best when you say nothing at all)
(You say it best when you say nothing at all)
(You say it best when you say nothing at all) that smile on your face
(You say it best when you say nothing at all) the truth in your eyes
(You say it best when you say nothing at all) the touch of your hand let's me know that you need me
(You say it best when you say nothing at all) nothing at all

(You say it best when you say nothing at all) nothing at all
(You say it best when you say nothing at all) nothing at all

Overall Meaning

The song "Nothing at all" by Ronan Keating is a gentle and romantic ballad that expresses the idea that sometimes words are not necessary for communication between two people who are connected. The song begins with a recognition of the power of nonverbal communication - how someone can speak directly to your heart without uttering a word. The singer says that this person "can light up the dark" just by being near. The refrain suggests that the singer cannot fully describe or explain the feelings they get from this person but that they know that person says it best, "when you say nothing at all".

The verses offer concrete examples of how this person communicates without words - through their smile, their touch, and the look in their eyes. The chorus repeats, emphasizing that this person's nonverbal cues are more meaningful than anything anyone else could say. The song suggests that sometimes the things we can't put into words are the most powerful and meaningful.

Overall, the song is a tribute to the power of nonverbal communication and the value of truly understanding and appreciating the people in our lives who mean the most to us.

This is the song that was in the charts when my daughter was born on 6th April 2000, at 13 weeks premature, weighing just 1000g, she was so very tiny, frail and fragile and her skin was transparent, she couldn't speak, move or even open her eyes, but she told me she would fight for her life and always be in my life.

The song struck a very emotional note in me, as she laid there in her intensive care incubator, fighting for life. On her third day, she was diagnosed as having Hydrocephalus, where her skull was filling with water from her body, she had emergency surgery that day, to temporarily drain the fluid building up, it worked, but we were given the news that this had been caused by bleeds on her brain, we were also told she was showing signs that she had been starved of oxygen during the difficult birth and emergency ceasarian, and that this would most likely have caused Brain Damage leading to Cerebral Palsy. This was confirmed two days later, we were told that her Cerebral palsy could be as mild as Dyslexia or as severe as that she would never know who she was and be wheelchair bound for her entire life, only time would tell.

The song seemed to be everywhere, on every radio station, every TV programme and each time it played, an overwhelming emotional connection grew stronger and stronger, it became the song that even to this day, brings that sunami of emotions and memories of that time crashing down upon me, fetching me to tears everytime. But those tears were never ones of loss and grieving, they were always of joy and loving, of strength and determination....

Amber, as we named her, will soon be 20 years old, she is a great source of strength for me and her mother. There have been many, many surgeries along the way, Amber has managed to show strength throughout it all, remaining a happy smiling, positive child.

I cannot call her a child anymore, as she frequently tells me, she is a young woman now. It has been a long, hard journey for her, but she has learned strength & courage far beyond her short years. She is now able to talk, and boy, do we know it, she can walk short distances with her walking frame and splints, she still has problems, which we deal with as they occur. She is my rock, a beacon of stability, she is my daughter.

She turned 20 today, 6th April 2020.

Either fully Christians, with its ups and downs, or fully in pagan life, can?t have both, event though we have 2 feet, we still can+t be one feet in Christianity and another feet out in pagan life.

The only tool which is proven to be a brainwasher is TVs. - destroy these. For ye have every right to do so, for without THE TV, your brain shall be not brainwashed and logic shall be found in there, inside your brain, and the more alone time, without people 24/7 around you and without being surrounded by technology the same amount of time, even thinking skills shall appeared. The question is: are ye all willing to give up half of the garbage we call technology ? Are we all willing to come out from BABYLON? Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

In short: NO TV = not being brainwashed.

Phones are also wiser to destroy – for none of us aren´t that much important to be available to everyone and that 24/7/365.

Ye all want to meet the truth? - then start seeking it. (BIBLE + FREEMASONRY)

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Not really sure what to say lol just that I did security for BBC in London.
I had to keep people from coming into the building.
He arrived in a Chauffeur driven Jaguar.
He was smiling and pleased to see people.
He pretended to box with me and laughed... then he was gone.
During the day, I was asked to stand outside his door.
I saw him again before he went on stage that afternoon.
He was asking people how they were, he was really down to earth and very humble.
Not snobby at all.
