Richards has released few solo recordings. His first solo single released in 1978 was versions of Chuck Berry's "Run Rudolph Run" and Jimmy Cliff's "The Harder They Come." In 1987, after Mick Jagger pursued a solo recording and touring career, Richards formed the X-pensive Winos with co-songwriter, and co-producer Steve Jordan whom Richards assembled for his Chuck Berry documentary, Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll. Additional members of the X-pensive Winos included guitarist Waddy Wachtel, saxist Bobby Keys, keyboardist Ivan Neville and Charley Drayton on bass.
The first Winos' record,Talk Is Cheap also featured Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker. Since its release in 1988, Talk Is Cheap has gone gold and has sold consistently. Its release was followed by the first of the two U.S. tours Richards has done as a solo artist. Live at the Hollywood Palladium, 15 December 1988 (released 10 December 1991 on Virgin) documents the first of these tours. On 19 October 1992, the Winos' second studio record Main Offender was released, again on the Virgin label, and was also followed by a tour. The last of the Winos' record, Vintage Winos, is a compilation album released on 2 November 2010 on Mindless Records.

Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Everywhere
All over the place
Every man, he has
A picture of your face
Hey little girl
Don't you realize
This is a goddamn disgrace
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Oh little girl
You never want me
Tomorrow night you say
You need my key
Hey little girl
Go and have a ball
You know one day girl
You're bound to fall
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Everywhere
All over the place
Every man, he has
A picture of your face
Hey little girl
Don't you realize
This is a goddamn disgrace
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
Girl you're too bad
Girl you're too rude
Everyman I speak to
Says he wants you
The song "Too Rude" by Keith Richards is a classic rock tune with a catchy beat and bold lyrics. The song is about a woman who is simply too wild and scandalous for their own good. Richards sings, "Girl you're too bad, girl you're too rude, every man I speak to says he wants you." This line suggests that the woman is very desirable, but her wild ways are causing problems for the men who are attracted to her.
The lyrics paint a picture of a woman who is surrounded by men who are constantly pursuing her, or at least claiming to be interested in her. Richards sings, "Everywhere, all over the place, every man, he has a picture of your face." He then adds, "Hey little girl, don't you realize, this is a goddamn disgrace." This line implies that the woman is leading men on, perhaps even exploiting them in some way.
Richards then sings, "Oh little girl, you never want me, tomorrow night you say you need my key, hey little girl, go and have a ball, you know one day girl you're bound to fall." This verse suggests that the woman is using men for her own pleasure, without any real interest in developing a meaningful relationship. The song ends with the repeated chorus, "Girl you're too bad, girl you're too rude, every man I speak to says he wants you."
Overall, the lyrics of "Too Rude" suggest a cautionary tale about a woman who is too wild and scandalous for her own good. The song is a classic rock tune with a catchy beat that showcases Richards' talent as a songwriter.

Keith was taking his music seriously, those days. Always has, I guess, but he was particularly sticklish about getting things just right in this era. Great tunes, too.
