Round About Midnight

Don't worry, I don't care if it's far away
It's getting late, have a seat, just dream
Why don't you just close your eyes and have a dream
Forget about things happened to you let it go, just let it go...
You will be just feeling alright when you wake up
So just close your eyes...
Before everything else,
Let's go home baby, don't have to cry, just don't ask why...
How about some music? Do you like Miles? I'll play it for you...
Round about midnight...
Don't tell me why, don't tell me reasons...
You look so thin and you look so confused
You look so ill, you just make me sad...
I hope I'm not driving too fast, are you ok?
Forget about things you have been through,
The home is close, the home is close...
When you get home you'll start a new life,
I swear that you will have a new life
Before everything else
Let's go home baby, don't have to cry, just don't ask why...
How about some donuts? Do you like honeydip? Have a bite...
If you want, I'll sing a song, song about a dog...
Let's go home baby, won't be too long to get home
Round about midnight...
Wo wo wo wo wo
Wo wo wo wo wo
Wo wo wo wo wo
Wo wo wo wo wo
Run away, driving high way, nowhere to go, nowhere to go...
Something we can't run away... That's sometimes we find out,
Well as you know...
Before everything else
Let's go home baby, don't have to cry, just don't ask why...
How about some donuts? Do you like honeydip? Have a bite...
If you want, I'll sing a song, song about a dog
Let's go home baby, won't be too long to get to home
Round about midnight...
The lyrics of 'Round About Midnight' by Kemuri depict the vocalist's concern for a friend who seems to be going through a difficult phase in their life. The song's title itself suggests that the scene takes place late at night; the singer offers to drive their friend home and assures them that they don't have to worry about the distance. The singer recommends to their friend to forget about their problems and just dream away, suggesting that everything will be alright by morning. The verse "Don't tell me why, don't tell me reasons / You look so thin and you look so confused / You look so ill, you just make me sad" indicates that the singer is aware of their friend's struggles and is trying to comfort them through music, food, and conversation. The repetition of the phrase "Let's go home baby, won't be too long to get home / Round about midnight" towards the end emphasizes that the singer just wants to get their friend to a safe and secure place.
