This girl is Kendall Gaveck and she recently turned 15 years old. This singing sensation has already signed an exclusive worldwide deal with Sony Music and is working with some of the top songwriters and producers in the world.
Kendall has performed for audiences of over 40,000 people. She has sung the National Anthem for over 20 professional and collegiate sporting events, including games for the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Suns, the Chicago Cubs, and the Phoenix Coyotes as well as at the A.S.U. Fiesta Bowl Classic.
Kendall played the lead role of Athena in the independent film Senator Plato, co-starring with Jeremy Lelliott. Kendall has had lead roles in over 40 musical theater productions in both professional and community theater, including Annie in "Annie" for two consecutive years and Mary Lennox in "The Secret Garden". Along with being an accomplished singer and actress, this triple threat is also an accomplished songwriter who will be writing many of the songs on her first album. Kendall has been writing songs since she was very young. The first of her original songs that she recorded was entitled "America Unite". She wrote this song the day after the September 11th attacks. She was 10 years old at the time and wrote the song to help children cope with their feelings about the attacks. The song was soon posted on the internet and Kendall began to receive thousands of letters requesting copies of the song and exclaiming how much Kendall had helped them cope with loss. This inspired her to write many more songs, which she kept in a journal, eventually recording many as demos between the ages of 10 and 14.
Kendall was featured for 5 months straight as the Breaker Artist on Radio KOL, the child friendly version of AOL. She beat out six other major artists for the title of Favorite Breaker Artist, and her hit song, "Mystery", was consistently voted into the top five singles of KOL each day. Kendall stayed in the top five for over nine weeks and came in #1 nine times, whilst consistently competing against many well-known artists including JoJo, Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child, Kelly Clarkson, and Hilary Duff. Kendall's recording of her original song, "Christmas Kiss", was voted as the favorite Christmas song on KOL, and beat out other artists like Jessica Simpson and Jesse McCartney. Kendall's equally-matched well-known online hit, "Everything Thats Fake", was also played on Radio AOL Main .
Popstar! Magazine featured Kendall as one of the 15 Shining Stars to look out for in the coming years and published an exclusive interview with her on the official Popstar! and KOL website.
Kendall's passion for music is impossible to miss, along with her desire to share countless thoughts and feelings with the world. Her upcoming music is a style all her own with a pop/rock vibe that says what needs to be said and gets you up on your feet. She is one teenager who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and what she believes is that teenagers have much to contribute to the world. She wants to use her music to get that message out.
She is actively involved in charity work and is currently setting up a foundation in honor of a greatly-missed member of her official street team who passed away this year.
