Sean Taylor, life gone because of haters
Sean Taylor, a famous football player, was killed by someone who had hate in their heart

A nigga he known tried home invasion, went wrong
Someone Sean knew attempted to rob his home, but it ended tragically

Bullet penetrated his leg, femur bone
Sean was shot in the leg and it caused severe damage to his femur bone

Days later, wake arrangements, flowers to be catered
After Sean's death, his family had to plan his funeral and arrange for flowers

That was so impatient, take him from the next man
The person who killed Sean was impatient and took his life without any regard for others

Cause he ain't got the will to hustle like he can
The person who killed Sean thought that stealing was easier than working hard to make a living

Niggas would rather steal than think of a righteous plan
Some people would rather steal from others than come up with a legitimate and morally right way to make money

To get residuals, kill for dividends
Some people will kill others to make money or reap the benefits of their death

We are living in a time where even young children are carrying guns and getting involved in violence

As children grow older, they graduate to even more deadly weapons and drugs

I wonder why successful black man gotta die from a black man
It's heartbreaking to see successful black men become targets of violence at the hands of other black men

Why everywhere I go I got to accumulate some hate?
I don't understand why there is so much hate towards black people everywhere I go

Genocide all we know shit, we basically in the KKK
As a people, we are so used to violence and hate that we are essentially in the same position as the Ku Klux Klan

Despite the overwhelming hate towards black people, I am still trying to succeed and make money

Even when I am successful, there are people who want to take away my success and achievements

Hate each other we do each other wrong
Black people need to stop harming and fighting against each other

We need to make an effort to love and support each other as black people

Can't be a positive black role model
It's hard to be a positive role model for black people when there is so much hate and violence in the community

Leading the future with no haters to follow
In order to shape a better future, we need to be positive examples and not lead with hate or violence

It's sad that in order to achieve success, some black people think they need to resort to violence or even see others die

Some people would rather bring down a black person who is trying to better themselves than help them succeed

When someone is doing well, there will always be those who want to bring them down and make them fail

You burn your brother's bridges
Some black people burn bridges and damage relationships with other black people rather than building them up and working together

His accomplishments making way for your children
Instead of being happy for someone's success, some people become jealous and try to tear them down

Still you don't compliment, inconsiderate black pride
Some black people are so caught up in their own pride that they refuse to recognize and compliment the achievements of others in their community

No never been, never win, gotta lose
If we continue to hate and bring each other down, we will never be successful as a community

That's the slope that's for the black heritage
If we continue down this path, we will damage the legacy and heritage of black people

We play the fool better than comedians
Sometimes black people make fools of themselves and don't take their own success seriously

Disobediant dude no respect, ethics
Some black people refuse to show respect or adhere to ethical principles

I refuse to be a statistic
I don't want to become another negative statistic in the black community

But changing my community don't seem realistic
Despite my best efforts, it can seem impossible to change the black community for the better

Show me an African American doing right
It's rare to see black people doing positive things or making positive contributions to their community

I'll show you one that will kill his ass tonight
Unfortunately, there are still black people who resort to violence even when others are trying to do positive things

We stuck together back in slavery days
During slavery, black people had to stick together for survival

Martin and Malcolm them dudes paved the way
Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were instrumental in paving the way for civil rights and black empowerment

The bullshit we doing, I know they're turning over in their graves
The actions of some black people today would likely upset and disappoint Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X

The shit need to stop today
It is imperative that black people begin to change their behaviors and stop the violence and hate in their communities

Yeah the die for the cause, some like Jesus for us
Some black people are willing to die for their beliefs or for their community, much like how Jesus died for his people

To become better people, think about it
In order to become better people and better our communities, we need to reflect on our actions and choices

We used to run from the KKK
Black people used to be afraid of the Ku Klux Klan and would try to run away from them

But now we running from our brothers that be holding them k's
Now, black people are also afraid of other black people who are carrying guns and committing violence

Man, never thought there'd be days like this
It's sad that there are days where black people feel so unsafe and afraid

Can't trust your homies that you're hanging with
It can be difficult to trust even your closest friends when there is so much violence and hate in the black community

Damn shame, why you kill a nigga over a chain
It's a tragedy that some black people are willing to kill others over material possessions

When you could get up on your hustle and get the same thing
Instead of resorting to crime or violence, people could work hard and hustle to achieve the same level of success

United we stand tall, divided we all fall
If black people can come together and unite, they will be stronger and more successful than if they remain divided and hating on each other

It's time to put an end to the violence and hate in the black community and move forward

On the real, the envy and the hate need to stop
The root cause of the violence and hate in the black community needs to be addressed and eliminated
