Just Me & You
Kenny Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Just you, just me
Let's find a cozy spot
To cuddle and coo

Just us, just we
I've missed an awful lot
My trouble is you
Oh, gee!
What are your charms for?
What are my arms for?
Use your imagination!
Just you, just me

I'll tie a lover's knot
'Round wonderful you!

I knew I shouldn't have played THIS song...
Until May 30th of 2012 at 3:33 in the afternoon, I really had no use for Country Music.
Always thought it was just a bunch of twangy 'cry in your beer' wasted breath, and I could never be interested in a Cowgirl...

Then Amanda walked into my life, and from that day until today a part of me 'went Country'.
A beautiful long read haired Country girl that I had dreamt of 25 years previous, changed my life !
(the above dream actually took place in the month and year she was born, and I'll bet if more research was done, it would be found that it occurred pretty close to the day and time as well, if not Exactly)
THIS is one of the first few songs I learned to 'cover' along with Dave Barnes version of 'God Gave me You' which I sang to her one evening after team rehearsal, which today still brings tears to my eyes as I truly believe that in her I found my Twin-Soul, and then lost it...

There have been SO MANY songs from Kenny and others that have spoken to what remains of my soul, and that I have cried myself to sleep to SO Many times especially for the first couple years without her, but the dreams ushered in by tears hasn't been the case for about 5 years now - these songs DO still bring a tear (or two).

Thank you Kenny !
Wish I could come see you in Inglewood in July...

Lyrics:
Ordinary, no
Really don't think so
Not a love this true
Common destiny
We were meant to be
Me and you

Like a perfect scene
From a movie screen
We're a dream come true
Suited perfectly
For eternity
Me and you

Everyday, I need you even more
And the nighttime too
There's no way I could ever let you go
Evenif I wanted to

Everyday I live
Try my best to give
All I have to you
Thank the stars above
That we share this love
Me and you

Everyday, I need you even more
And the nighttime too
There's no way I could ever let you go
Even if I wanted to

Ordinary, no
Really don't think so
Just a precious few
Ever make it last
Get as lucky as
Me and you
Me and you

This is my wedding song too! Am marrying my old neighbor who I had a crush on when I was 13 but he was 9 yrs older. He got married. I was married. He lived right behind me! He got divorced 9 yrs later I got divorced we bumped into each other and ever since that night we have not left each other’s side. Funny thing is before we moved to where we saw each other the first time! He took me where he use to live and we passed my old house😂 we lived 5 mins away and our moms worked together. When it’s meant to be it will happen and I thank God everyday❤️🙏🏼❤️

My late husband sang this to me in a club in Daytona,Fl …..in front of our family & friends on our wedding night. :) it’s been 13 years on the 14th of Aug. This song will always be in my heart! Cancer took him from me 18 months later :) he was gone before our 2nd honeymoon. Hug your loved ones……and remember early detection saves lives. Let’s kick cancer butt! 🙏❤️‍🩹🙏
