Times Ain't Time Enough
Kenny Nolan Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Inside beats a heart
That knows nothing from pain
Heaven sent your love
To kiss away my rain

And time ain′t time enough
To say the words I feel
You walked into my life
Kissed my wounds
They healed
So I'll be loving you
No bluff
But time ain′t time enough

Ask me what I'd do
I'd get down on my knees
Thank the Lord you′re mine
Now and for always

Time ain′t time enough
To say the words I feel
You walked into my life
Kissed my wounds
They healed
So I'll be loving you
No bluff
But time ain′t time enough

I count my blessings
Before each night is through
And I start each day
When I wake up with
I love you
I love you
I do
How can I repay?
All the joy I've found
I guess for all your life
Just know I′ll be around

Time ain't time enough
To say the words I feel
You walked into my life
Kissed my wounds
They healed
So I′ll be loving you

No bluff
But time ain't time enough.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Kenny Nolan's "Times Ain't Time Enough" speak to the theme of love and the powerful impact it can have on a person's life. The opening lines indicate that the singer has experienced pain in their life but has found solace in the love that was "heaven sent". They describe the tremendous impact this love has had on them, particularly in terms of helping to heal their wounds.

The chorus repeats the idea that time is not enough to express the depth of the singer's feelings. They acknowledge their inability to fully articulate how much they love the person who has come into their life and made such a difference. The lyrics suggest that this love is something that the singer is truly grateful for, and they express a desire to repay it in some way. The song ends with a statement of enduring commitment and devotion.

Overall, the song reflects the idea that love can be a transformative force in a person's life. It can heal wounds, bring joy, and provide a sense of purpose and meaning. The lyrics also suggest that love is something that cannot be adequately expressed through words alone, and that its power can be difficult to fully comprehend.

I asked a couple people my age and they can't remember the song. I remember it very well, it got a lot of air play on AM radio back in 1977. This was the follow up to "I Love Dreaming" I kind of rediscovered the song and I really like it!

@carolineroberts8122

Why is this amazing song not on Amazon Music?

@SeventiesBerlin

because some million of vinyl record tracks have never been released on digital media (CD, mp3 or streaming); you can hear some of them on our webradio, https://www.seventiesberlin.com

@Kurtonebay

Can you post the entire album?

@SeventiesBerlin

Kurtonebay sure! seven tracks are already available, for the missing three I need some weeks to retrieve the files and make the videos; we're moving the servers and most tracks are not available at the moment

@Kurtonebay

Thanks for the reply. Hope you can get them back or re-digitize them.
