A dream is like a tiny spark
Of light, much brighter than any light I know
Dreams shine and dreams glow
Here we go
In the night, in the calm
A dream is like
A lovely song
Lovelier than any song i know
Dreams sing, high and low
Here we go
And dreams
They are lovely and bright
In the dark, in the calm, in the night,
So sleep tight
The lyrics to Kesang Marstrand’s “Sleep Tight” explore the beauty of dreams and their ability to illuminate even the darkest of nights. The opening lines describe a dream as a tiny spark of light that shines brighter than any other light known to us. The lines following that describe dreams as ebullient melodies that can lift our spirits in the calmness of the night. The song highlights the beauty of the experience of dreaming, and the profound impact that it can have on our lives.
The line, “Dreams sing, high and low, here we go” seems to suggest that dreams are a journey that we embark upon, and that through dreaming, we are taken to different heights and depths, allowing us to experience a range of emotions. The chorus of the song repeatedly reminds the listener to sleep tight and to embrace the beauty of dreams that awaits them.
Overall, the song "Sleep Tight" is a gentle and soothing reminder that the darkness of the night can be transformed by the light of our dreams. It encourages us to appreciate and cherish the beauty of the unconscious mind and the journey of dreaming.
