Dime no tesoro.
Mal tan de amor.
Guardo con recelo en mi corazon.
Demasiado corazon.
The lyrics of Ketama's "Demasiado Corazón" describe the singer's struggles with their emotional vulnerability and the judgment they face from others for being too open-hearted. The first lines, "murmura la gente, mi forma de ser" (the people whisper about my way of being), reveal the singer's awareness of the gossip and criticism they receive for their emotional nature. However, despite this judgment, the singer admits to having "demasiado corazón" (too much heart) and an "alma de amores" (a soul of loves).
The singer goes on to express their confusion and fear when it comes to love. They feel unsure of themselves and describe themselves as "dulce por dentro" (sweet on the inside) and "de miel" (like honey). But they also have a "miedo" (fear) of falling in love and a "mal de amores" (sickness of love) that they don't know how to deal with. The singer reveals that they guard "palabras de amores" (words of love) and "beso de pasión" (passionate kisses) in their heart but also hide them with "recelo" (caution). The chorus repeats the idea that the singer has "demasiado corazón" and ends with the plea, "dime no tesoro, mal tan de amor" (tell me no treasure, sickness of love).
Overall, the lyrics of "Demasiado Corazón" express a struggle between the singer's emotional nature and the judgment and fear they face because of it. It is a heartfelt plea to be understood and accepted for who they are.
