I'm looking for justice
The people dem a bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem nuh get none
The people dem a ball them a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem nuh get none
Dem sail dem ships upon the land
And took the kids of Africans
And gave them whips
And chain dem hands
Them schemes and tricks and master plans
Use bible scripts fi slave a man
Then burn mi village kill mi fam and cage mi like an animal
We pray for justice, father God
Four hundred years of blood and sweat and yes we still a slave
Take the shackles off wi feet and put it on wi brains
Dem tek we history press delete and wipe we heritage
A truth and rights until we step off of this pilgrimage
I'm looking for justice
The people dem a bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem nuh get none
The people dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem a bawl
Dem nuh get none
First it was slave ships now it's the matrix
Where we mind locked up in dem cages
And caught up in dem technological spaces
Time wasting taking selfies of our faces
While wi sell wi life like craigslist
It might hurt when I say this
But the truth wi haffi face it
So upload this to your playlist
Cah the radios nah guh play this
And the pope him ah guh ban this
Uncle Sam him nah guh like this
Rasta sink ku klux klan like Atlantis
And all political bandits
With false promise lies and antics
Listen keenly to my synopsis
Corruption flood the streets like when Japan had tsunamis
And these presidents behaving like dem is Hitler's and the Nazis
These times are getting drastic
From Kingston straight to Addis
From London to Los Angeles
I'm looking for Justice
The people dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem nuh get none
The people dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem ah bawl
Dem nuh get none
Run to the police man and him nuh get none
The lawyer man and him nuh get none
With the politician, him still nuh get none
(Hmm huh hmm huh hmm huh)
Sailing away sailing off shore
Been brutalized and caged behind doors (brutalized)
Stole my dignity I have that no more (Stole my dignity)
Watch mi nuh, said Im looking for it (looking for it)
John F. Kennedy end up speechless
When he told all of your secrets
And the justice weh we want
Dem nuh get none
Marcus Garvey our shepherd and yuh can't expunge him record
And the justice weh we want
Dem nuh get none
Paul Bogle our hero and you hang him down to zero
And the justice weh we want
Dem nuh get none
Can't believe Malcolm X get couple shots inna him chest

And the justice weh we want
Dem nuh get none

Overall Meaning

In the song "Justice" by Keznamdi, he speaks about the injustice faced by the people for centuries. He begins by saying that the people are crying out for justice, but they are not receiving any. He speaks about the slavery that Africans faced, where they were taken from their land, whipped, and made to work as slaves for centuries. Their history was erased, and they were treated like animals. He calls out for justice from God for the blood and sweat that the people have shed over the past 400 years. The people have been mentally enslaved, and their minds are imprisoned. They spend their time on social media rather than focusing on breaking free from the mental chains that hold them. He says that people must face the truth and upload his song on their playlists as people in power will not want to recognize it. He speaks about the corruption that has spread through the streets and calls out for justice for Marcus Garvey, Paul Bogle, and Malcolm X. He then repeats the chorus that the people are crying out for justice but are not getting any.
