The lyrics of Khalid's song Mone Pore Naa, originally in Bengali, convey a sense of melancholy and introspection. The opening lines "Mon-e pore na, abar mone pore" ("Not in my mind, then again in my mind") suggest that the singer is fighting to forget someone or something, but is unable to do so. The next two lines "Bhalolage na, abar bhalo lage" ("Doesn't feel good, then feels good again") imply a sense of emotional turbulence, oscillating between happiness and sadness.
The subsequent lines "Bhule jetey chai, chai na abar, majhe majhe" ("I want to forget, then I don't, sometimes") illustrate the inner conflict playing out in the singer's mind. The lyrics then describe the dichotomy of memories that stay with us and those that fade away, symbolised by "Kichu sriti mone pore, kichu pore na" ("Some memories still come to mind, while others don't").
The final lines of the song "Mon-e pore na, abar mone pore" and "Bhalolage na, abar bhalo lage" are repeated, perhaps emphasising the cyclical nature of the singer's emotional state. Overall, the song conveys a sense of nostalgia, heartbreak, and the inevitability of memories lingering long after the experience has ended.
