Busy tryna write the book of me
Good days, bad days
Bittersweet that′s poetry
Normally I don't wear these
But right now if they do crease
It's all good
I′ve been dying for a good time
I couldn′t hear you inside the party, ayy
I wanna know what you said, ayy
I wanna know what's on your mind
What′s going on in your head, ayy
I ain't saying that its all love
But you can call me up if you need a friend
Know that old saying back when nothing good happens after 3 a.m.
Man shit let′s prove em wrong, ayy
My Cinderella don't hear heels just Jordan 1′s
Spend the whole night as a third wheel, was a lonely one
We ain't gotta stay herе, a lil' fresh air never killеd no one
Ayy, from the curbside to a lifetime, my only one
My Cinderella don′t hear heels just Jordan 1′s
Spend the whole night as a third wheel, was a lonely one
We ain't gotta stay here, a lil′ fresh air never killed no one
Ayy, from the curbside to a lifetime, my only one
Feel like every cop in this city is working, so we can just be free
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Throw a wedding on the sidewalk, hell na
Throw that shit up in the street, ayy
We can tell the kids we met at work
Tell your friends that's yo′ shirt, but watchu know about the Pacers?
And it's long enough that it can be a skirt
No skeletons, no dirt, just all love
No stepsister, no glass slipper
But she do keep her feelings balled up, that′s real, oo
My Cinderella don't wear heels just Jordan 1's
Spend the whole night as a third wheel, was a lonely one
We ain′t gotta stay here, a lil′ fresh air never killed no one
Ayy, from the curbside to a lifetime, my only one
My Cinderella don't hear heels just Jordan 1′s
Spend the whole night as a third wheel, was a lonely one
We ain't gotta stay here, a lil′ fresh air never killed no one
Ayy, from the curbside to a lifetime, my only one, oo
Ayy
Is it love at first sight, if it's after midnight, is it love?
Is it? If its after midnight, is it love? Is it?
Kid Quill's song "Curbside" explores the themes of self-reflection, loneliness, and love. In the first verse, he expresses his dedication towards writing the story of his own life rather than getting lost in the idea of a traditional "book of love." He reflects on the bittersweet moments of life and how they can inspire beautiful poetry. He also mentions his willingness to put aside his ego and have a good time.
In the second verse, Kid Quill seems to be addressing a specific person, likely a romantic interest or perhaps someone going through a tough time. He empathizes with them, encouraging them to reach out if they need a friend. He also challenges the common belief that nothing good happens after 3 a.m., suggesting that he wants to make something positive happen at that hour.
The chorus shifts the focus towards Kid Quill's love interest, whom he describes as his Cinderella. Rather than wearing high heels, she wears Jordan 1's, a symbol of her independence and unique style. Kid Quill seems to have spent a night as a "third wheel" with her and another person, feeling lonely but not wanting the night to end. He suggests that they need a little fresh air, and imagines spending a lifetime with her starting from the curbside.
Overall, "Curbside" is a song that balances the emotions of self-exploration, empathy, and romance. It portrays Kid Quill's love interest as a strong and independent person, while also acknowledging his own feelings of loneliness.

The girl I'm with doesn't need fancy shoes, and although I felt alone as the third wheel earlier, we don't have to stay here. From this moment on, I want to be with her for the long haul.

With so many people working hard in this city, let's take this opportunity to be carefree. We can celebrate our love anywhere, even in the middle of the street.
We can tell the kids we met at work, Tell your friends that's yo' shirt, but watchu know about the Pacers? And it's long enough that it can be a skirt, No skeletons, no dirt, just all love, No stepsister, no glass slipper, But she do keep her feelings balled up, that's real, oo
We can make up a story about how we met, and you can even wear my shirt. But let's chat about basketball as well, and I don't care if you wear my clothes as a skirt. We don't have any secrets or drama, just pure love. You don't need to be perfect like Cinderella and have everything figured out emotionally.
Is it love at first sight, if it's after midnight, is it love? Is it? If its after midnight, is it love? Is it?
I'm curious about whether love can happen at first sight, and if it can, does it matter if it's after midnight or not?
