Kid Rock released several studio albums from 1988 that mostly went unnoticed before his 1998 record 'Devil Without a Cause', released with Atlantic Records, sold 11 million albums behind the hits, "Bawitdaba","Cowboy," and "Only God Knows Why". In 2000, he released The History of Rock which was a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from his previous albums as well as the hit single, "American Bad Ass". In 2001, he released the follow up, Cocky. After a slow start, his country-flavored hit "Picture" with Sheryl Crow resurrected the album and it went gold as a single and pushed the album's sales to more than 5 million. It was followed by 2003's self-titled release, which failed to chart a major hit. In 2006 he released Live Trucker , a live album. In 2007 Kid Rock released Rock N Roll Jesus, which produced a hit in "All Summer Long." It was his first worldwide smash hit, charting #1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia. Rock N Roll Jesus would go on to sell 5 million albums worldwide including being certified triple platinum in the US.
He has sold 22 million albums to date in the United States, which currently ranks him as the 99th best selling music artist of all time in the U.S.

I just can't let it out
This pipe and these needles are my only guide
They've got me on the wrong route
What is my life about
Living in the shadows of a man I've never seen
Dreamin' like a lonely child
Man I wish you could see them too
Oh Lord
Oh Lord
Man I wish that you could see them too
Man I wish that you could see them too
So can I come to see you sometime
'Cause I been missin' you
I've never heard you cry I've never seen you whine
I'm feeling oh so young
But still I must die to get to you
And if I do I wonder how just you will see me
And implicate the things I've done
I'm dyin' in the shadows of this man I've never seen
I'll see you soon
Now where's my gun
Oh Lord
Oh Lord
Oh Lord (where's my gun)
Oh where's my gun
Oh Lord (yeah, where's my gun)
Oh Lord (my gun)
Let me open your eyes
Let me see who you are
I am you, you are me
We are a part of
The second coming of Christ
It's God himself in a jar
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Let me open your eyes
Let me see who you are
I am you, you are me
We are a part of
The second coming of Christ
Its god himself in a jar
Yeah, hey
You got me, sad and lonely
When I'm me, me
You know you make me so lonely
I am so alone
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
And I will pray and then I'll cry
Kid Rock's song "Abortion" is a thought-provoking and highly emotional song that speaks to the struggles and pain that the singer is experiencing. The lyrics express his desire to be seen, to be understood, and to find purpose, but he feels trapped in the shadow of an unknown man. The chorus of the song expresses his longing to be reunited with this person, and his growing desperation to end his suffering.
The final verse of the song takes a spiritual turn. The lyrics suggest that the singer is searching for higher meaning, and that he believes that he is a part of a larger spiritual force. The closing lines of the song describe his loneliness and his attempt to find solace in prayer.

One of my absolute favorite Kid Rock songs. This one is truly a gem that brings back so many memories. This was my alarm tone for my first day of Junior year in High school. Thank you 🙏

It takes serious balls to write, sing, and perform an anti-abortion, Pro-Life song these days

I see this is a five year old comment, but im still gonna respond lol. It's because people refuse to dig and look for good music. They don't want to put in the legwork
The Truth is only Perspective
@Jesse Foster it was more rhetoric than actually asking, but yeah
