The band has played countless shows in LA and has put out several releases on their own, selling and distributing the album via their website.
In May 2007 Killola completed a self-booked UK tour (the band personally booked 13 shows in 13 days, all set-up through Myspace). At the end of that tour, they recorded a live-in-studio record (15 tracks mixed live to analog tape) in Suffolk, England (Bury St Edmunds).
In mid 2007, Killola lent some music to a webisodic series called "Girltrash!" (web-spinoff of "The L Word") written and directed by Angela Robinson. After Robinson attended a Killola performance, she offered Rieffel a lead character role in the show itself. She plays a foul-mouthed lesbian crook called 'Daisy Robson'. - www.girltrash.tv
Killola's live show is high-energy and often provocative in nature. It is said that Lisa sometimes "blacks out by the middle of the first song, then wakes up about 30 minutes after the show ends".... noted antics include jumping on fans, throwing up, groping the drummer, and laying on the floor in the middle of the crowd.
On top of making music for ears, Killola is a highly fan-accessible band. The band members host online interactive video-chat shows every Friday night, and on Monday nights Johnny and Lisa host a radio show on Dave Navarro's web-radio station SPREAD RADIO LIVE. The band personally mails out several pounds of postage every week to fans through their "You Take Time, We Take Time" campaign... details at www.killola.com/youtaketime
Killola encourages fans to tattoo themselves with band-related artwork and/or lyrics. The band's website devotes a section to Killola fan-tattoos showcasing photos of several fan-tatoos from around the world. The band states that a Killola tattoo gets you free entry into performances for life.

Killola Lyrics

Metal to the pedal but you ain’t getting very far, what’s happening?
So here you going going going?... Like little Boeings, Boeings?...
Here I am, once again, stuck in traffic.
Count to 10, trying not to panic.
Red light, green light
Broke the rules down to the letter.
Red light, green light.
Here I am once again...
Here I am once again...
Here I am once again...
People flying out their cars
Regretting and forgetting can only get a girl so far.
So where you going, going?
Like little Boeings, Boeings yeah?
Didn't ya see the red light?
God knows how I hate to say, I told you so.
What ya lookin' at me for?
I'm no help... The future is a ghost.
Here I am, once again, stuck in traffic.
Count to 10, trying not to panic.
Red light, green light.
Broke the rules down to the letter.
Let me try it once again, I can do it better!
Red light, green light.
God knows how I hate to say...
God knows how I hate to say...
Here I am once again...
The song Traffic by Killola explores the frustration and monotony of being stuck in traffic. The opening lines immediately set the scene of people driving in their cars with aggression and determination, but not actually making any progress. The repetition of the line "what's happening?" emphasizes the sense of confusion and exasperation in the situation. The use of the metaphor "little Boeings" to refer to the cars highlights the futility of trying to move quickly in a situation where everyone is in the same boat.
The chorus repeats the phrase "here I am, once again, stuck in traffic" to further emphasize the boredom and frustration of being in this situation. The singer tries to calm themselves down by counting to ten and not panicking, but the constant red lights and green lights only serve to highlight the futility of the situation. The line "broke the rules down to the letter" suggests that the singer is trying to find ways to escape the traffic, but ultimately is unsuccessful. The repetition of the line "let me try it once again, I can do it better" shows the singer's determination to find a way out, even though they know it's unlikely.
The second verse introduces the idea of regret and forgetting, suggesting that some people might try to ignore or forget about the traffic, but ultimately they can't escape it. The line "God knows how I hate to say, I told you so" hints at an argument or disagreement with someone who didn't listen to advice. The singer expresses their frustration with the situation and their own inability to help, which only serves to increase their sense of powerlessness.
