Neme-Neme-Nemesis
Neme-Neme-Nemesis
Neme-Neme-Nemesis
I was the child born into a world of hate
The child who ended his life
I am the child you buried last night
Relentless wound that will not heal
Forever delusions, what is real
Let me count the ways in my Nemesis
Is how I'll make you pain
(My Nemesis)
And now you'll feel the same...
And I'll cut my need into my soul, you will know
(My Nemesis)
Dead visions in your name
I was the child tormented by his fate
The child always wishing to be dead
I am the child who picked up a knife
The child who was beaten until last breath
Relentless wound that will not heal
Forever delusions, what is real
Let me count the ways in my Nemesis
Is how I'll make you pain
(My Nemesis)
And now you'll feel the same...
And I'll cut my need into my soul, you will know
(My Nemesis)
Dead visions in your name

Is how I'll make you pain

The lyrics of Killus's song "Nemesis" portray a haunting and dark theme, exploring the pain and torment of a child who grew up in a world filled with hate. The repetition of "Nemesis" throughout the song emphasizes the concept of a relentless force seeking revenge and inflicting pain upon others.
The opening lines describe the child's tragic fate, revealing that the child ended their own life. The child's death is a haunting presence that will forever haunt those who were connected to them.
The repeated phrase "Relentless wound that will not heal, forever delusions, what is real" suggests that the pain caused by the child's death lingers and is a constant reminder of the twisted reality they experienced. The delusions and confusion mentioned in these lines highlight the child's suffering and the distorted perception of the world they had.
The chorus, "Let me count the ways in my Nemesis, is how I'll make you pain," conveys a strong desire for revenge. The singer intends to make others suffer as they have suffered, using their nemesis as a means to achieve that. The mention of cutting their need into their soul indicates a self-destructive nature, where the singer seeks to transfer their pain onto others.
The second verse continues to delve into the child's torment, expressing their constant longing for death. They eventually resort to violence, picking up a knife in an attempt to escape their painful reality. It is implied that they were abused, as they were beaten until their last breath.
The repetition of the chorus reinforces the theme of vengeance, with the singer expressing their determination to make others feel the same pain they endured. The mention of "dead visions in your name" suggests that the child's torment has become a haunting presence, forever associated with those who caused their suffering.
In conclusion, "Nemesis" by Killus explores the tragic story of a tormented child who grew up in a world of hate and opted to end their own life. The lyrics depict the desire for revenge and the lingering pain that consumes the singer and drives them to inflict suffering upon others.
