Jutlandia
Kim Larsen Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey ho!
For Jutlandia

Come on soldier
Syng med på melodien

Hey how
For Jutlandia
Hun kommer som kaldet til slaget
Hjemme er jægeren
Hjemvendt fra jagt
Og sømanden hjemvendt fra havet

(Mellemspil)

Hun sejler gennem natten, med alle sine børn
Levende og døde
Hvid som en jomfru
Og tapper som en ørn
Går hun krigen I møde

Sygeplejersker på 16 år
Tilser soldaternes sår

Hey how
For Jutlandia
Hun kommer som kaldet til slaget
Hjemme er jægeren
Hjemvendt fra jagt
Og sømanden hjemvendt fra havet

Hey how
For Jutlandia
Hun kommer som kaldet til slaget
Hjemme er jægeren

Hjemvendt fra jagt
Og sømanden hjemvendt fra havet

Overall Meaning

The song "Jutlandia" by Kim Larsen is about a hospital ship named after the Jutland peninsula in Denmark that was sent to Korea during the Korean War in 1949. The ship was equipped with everything needed to function as a floating hospital and was painted white like a virgin and was brave like an eagle. The song describes the ship as "coming to the call of the battle" and serving as a refuge for soldiers who are on the battlefield. It tells of how the ship helped wounded soldiers and how young nurses on board tended to their wounds.

The lyrics also touch on the theme of separation and how women and children are left behind when men go to war. The "Lillili Marlen" mentioned in the song was a popular German song from World War II that was played on the radio and sung by both the Axis and Allied forces.

Overall, the song "Jutlandia" by Kim Larsen is a tribute to the brave men and women who served in the Korean War, specifically the hospital ship Jutlandia that provided life-saving medical care to wounded soldiers.

Jeg ved hvad vores forfædre kæmpede for og imod...so much so, that they gave up their lifes....

Men jeg beklager, vi er få mrd'er fra "USSR" (only difference is that it's controled by the political elite ruling Europe...

No, I'm serious.... we are litterally no more than a few "votes" away from joining the "european version" of "USSR". I belive that a strong social tax, along the lines of that of DK, N, S, etc... But all that is going to be underminded by "common EU laws"... aka... everyone in scandinavia are going to end up paying socia security money to cover everyone inside the EU... because no other country would want to create similar welfare laws, because those who would want something like that, would be expected to apply in a nordic coulntry... and as such it would be political suicide for everyone, to suggest that your own country should pay for stuff like that... because, why on earth would anyone vote in favor of something that would highly increase their tax... when it's already being paid by the rich mnorrons who agreed to fund our state. :-|

Edit: of cause, all I've said is going to be labeled as racist! Because Anyone who know anything reasonble about social economics, know that this insane idea of a "global intersectional feminists" stronghold, are nothing to do with equality... or social "justice"... It's all about creating a perverted version of communism.... but instread of judgeing people based on how much money they have, itøs based on peoples skin color instead!

And if the skincolor aren't enough to determin the original sin, we'll add peoples sexual orientation into the equation.... because as we all know,. those of us, who grew up in the 80's and 90's... anyone who dared push against out parent views, was all deemed to be losers for life... Yet... How many of our generation hears "we're not gonna take it" and nods along... compare to those in our group who hear it and end up in a puddle of fear... because how dare other poeple enjoy listing to music that aren't praising the Furrer! :-|
I find it somewhat funny and also somewhat sad, knowing that Hitler would condenm me to a life sentence.... and just because I refuse to acceot the complete opposite, it's only going to me a matter of time before "the good guys" are going to punish me for disliking both sides.... and dare to advocate for democracy!.... I don't know if any of them are going to manage to kill me, or otherwise sielence me.... whether or not they mannage to do it, just keep in mind... they expect you to vote for them out of the fear they caused...

But noone of them are able to see what people decide to vote in the booth... at that point noone, what so ever, are able to dictate anything... You can vote for what you want... and of people ask questions... none can provide any proves!
Call me what you want... I don't care... I'm most likely to the "far left" of you... But honestly, who cares... all that matters is whol's going to vote for those on the ballot, and are aqble to vote... Most people online aren't in USA... who they can't vote...
