Pulling together the biblical sound and isolation of the bygone days of revelation with an atmosphere filled with hope and salvation, King Dude has woven his own brand of American music. He brandishes many varied influences in his songwriting. Everything from British Folk, Americana, Country and Blues can be heard in his songs. Even the heavier sounds of Heavy Metal tend to sneak and slither it's way into the King Dude canon. The resulting songs are much more of a modern day hymn then average pop song.
Holy Land
King Dude Lyrics

God has … love these grounds
No killer ever … in that…
And treat me and all the …
Oh holy land, oh holy land
I don’t want for the dirty stone
Always lost in a world of your own
On the roads to …marching holy land
Oh holy land, oh holy land
…realize the burden son
And our only tears to kingdom comes
…all I ever took … heart
To raise the holy land
Oh holy land, oh holy land.
The lyrics to King Dude's song Holy Land seems to be about a person reflecting on a certain land that holds a special and significant meaning to them. The land is referred to as 'Holy Land' which could suggest some form of religious or spiritual connection to the place. The first two lines, "Like the lonely, troubled heart/ God has...love these grounds" could mean that the person feels a sense of comfort in the land, despite their inner struggles. They believe that God has love for the land, which makes them feel closer to him. In the next line, "No killer ever...in that...", it seems to imply that the land is a place that is free from violence or harm. The person feels safe in this sacred land, where they can find solace from the troubles of the world.
Later in the song, the lyrics "I don’t want for the dirty stone/ Always lost in a world of your own/ High spirit … me/ On the roads to …marching holy land" could mean that the person wants to leave behind the world they presently inhabit and travel to the Holy Land. They don't want to be weighed down by the 'dirty stone', which may be a metaphor for their past mistakes or burdens. They want to be guided by a 'High spirit' to a new and better place, which could be the Holy Land. There seems to be a sense of urgency in the last few lines "…realize the burden son/ And our only tears to kingdom comes/…all I ever took … heart/ To raise the holy land". It suggests that the person wants to make the most of their time in this world and leave something behind that will have a positive impact. They want to 'raise the holy land' and make it a place where people can find peace and love.

KING DUDE - "HOLY LAND"
[Verse 1]
Like a wolf in troubled times
I'm a sinner who loves his crimes
I will kill every man who stands
Between me and the Holy Land
[Chorus]
Oh, the Holy Land
Oh, the Holy Land
[Verse 2]
Like a wolf in the driven snow
Who is lost with nowhere to go
And the Spirit is as real as me
A Holy Ghost who haunts a chapel in a long forgotten Holy Land
[Chorus]
Oh, the Holy Land
The Holy Land
Oh, the Holy Land
[Verse 3]
It's as real as the Lord above
It's as real as the burning sun
And I will reach it as the kingdom comes
I will hold my head up to the sky until I reach the Holy Land
[Chorus]
Oh, the Holy Land
The Holy Land
Oh, the Holy Land
