King Prawn were viewed as one of the most innovative bands of this period, blending elements of punk, hardcore, metal, ska, dub, reggae, and hip hop into their music, which they dubbed wildstyle.

Since the London band's formation in 1993, they were subject to both critical acclaim, having been nominated for the 'Best New British Band' category at the Kerrang Awards in 1998 and then again under the 'Spirit of Independence' category in 2000, and the approval of a diverse fanbase, leading to them becoming one of the most highly respected bands to emerge from the UK ska punk scene at the time. King Prawn toured regularly with broad range of bands, varying from hardcore to traditional and two tone ska bands, and were widely regarded as one of the most exciting live bands of Britain. King Prawn songs often contained politically based lyrics that formed wry social commentary, which, along with the band's blending of genres, led to comparisons with bands such as Rage Against the Machine.

King Prawn played their final gig on December 21st 2003 at the pitz, Milton Keynes, and members have since moved on to various other projects, such as Babar Luck's solo project and the Household Name Records signed musical collective Suicide Bid.

what an amateur. not pro at all. no chef has all this time to play around. you take a fork, run it right underneath the shell and pull the meat out while the vein slides off with the shell.

This was one of Gordon's useful videos. I looked at a few other videos on how to peel raw large prawns and Gordon's video shows how to do it easily, especially using a knife to aid removal of the vein. But first I have to get one of my kitchen knives really sharp!

You don't need to cut the prawn at all - when you take the head off you'll see the end of the black vein. Just grab that gently - straighten the prawn slightly and ease it out.

I have no clue has to why gordon is so jumpy all the time. Is he normal or abnormal. But by far one of the best chef. The honest truth he can't cook indian cuisines like the indians do. Indian cooking is all about patient and timing. The tones of spices and herbs they fuse into their cooking is amazing how they know all their spices. I was in india and was totally amazed how they cook with so much passion. Their spices have a roll in each cuisine they prepare. It was mind blowing watching them cook. They have hundreds of spices. Each plays a significant roll while cooking. Pakistanis cook exactly the same way but they just much of oil. Pakistani food is full of oil. Unlike india. Indians use pure ghee thats clarified butter for cooking and pure cold compress coconut oil. I fell in love with indian and pakistani food. Its awesome and delicious. European, american cooking is bland. Variety of spices is a way of life.

Here’s my technique.
First, grab the tail (do not grab the meat) then twist the end of the tail. Once you hear a crack or if it has became loose, pull.
Then, clench the head-eyes and all- and pull the meat out through the tail.(Out of the back)
Finally, cook or serve raw after de veining and enjoy!

I guess to avoid freaking people out. Think about it how excited and pleasurable speaking and seeing food is. Then you hear "poop" and the weak stomach people immediately begin to whine and complain that they lost their appetites.

All that matters is what we know. I just think calling it a vein brings more comfort to people. Just my thoughts.

+lost astronaut The effort is worth it. That's actually the alimentary canal of the prawn and if not removed, can lead to pretty bad food poisoning. Restaurants, especially, owe their customers clean food. You might have just been lucky if you've eaten that and got away scot-free.

Gordon your a world class chef but you can't peel a prawn for shit you ripped the whole tail off, when you do it right there should still be a little tiny tail underneath the shell. you do this by peeling away all the shell till you get to the tail, then pull the remaining shell on the tail away from the prawn abit like you would peel a banana and there you go a perfectly peeled prawn head removed. Don't PULL the last bit off like a sock peel the last bit like a banana.

From how I understand it, some species of shrimp have both veins and some species have only one vein. I could be wrong though, I don't eat shrimp very often because it's a bit spendy here in Oregon.
