Go Away
King Richard and The Knights Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's looking like I pimped my ride
You know what it is my guys
Can look into my eyes i'm high
In the coupe
Feel like I'm in a parachute
Longitude latitude
Magnitude got attitude
No love don't want to fuss
See i cannot be mad at you
I roll up it take me away
One pull it feel like I'm in space
Take your time don't rush
Love the way you get into it
Love it smooth and rough
Ain't nothing to it but to do it
Call it love and lust
Never annoy like what you doing
Ma you doing too much
But never too much for me to handle
On a space ship when we smoke
Kush got us on another planet
Don't want to land it float and manage
She understand she understanding
Never bring no problems to your boy
You understand me
It's looking like I pimped my ride
You know what it is my guys
Can look into my eyes I'm high
In the coupe
Feel like I'm in a parachute
Longitude latitude
Magnitude got attitude
No love don't want to fuss
See I cannot be mad at you
I roll up it take me away
One pull it feel like I'm in space
Never disconnect always gone connect
Want to get the sex hit me with the text
Late night licking whip cream off the chest
Freaky freaky always tell me I'm the best
Roll up that flight school float like a kite do
Fuck what he been telling you
You know you've been lied to
You need a real one to hold you down and do you right
You know it's business turning off the lights
Yeah yeah
Turn the lights low
Turn the lights low
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah

Yeah oh
Yeah yeah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

In the lyrics of "Go Away" by King Richard and The Knights, the singer describes a feeling of being high and carefree, as if they have pimped their ride and are soaring freely like in a parachute. They express a sense of detachment and distance from the problems or drama in their life, emphasizing a desire to escape and be in a space of tranquility. The imagery of longitude, latitude, and magnitude adds to the sense of being in a different dimension, detached from reality.

The lyrics also touch upon themes of love and lust, where the singer seems to enjoy the intensity and passion of their relationships. They appreciate the smooth and rough aspects of love, embracing both the gentle and wild tendencies that come with it. Despite moments where they may feel overwhelmed by their partner's actions, there is a sense of acceptance and understanding, as they navigate the complexities of their emotions and connections.

The above pic of King Richard and the Knights show the band's original members: (left to right - Gary Butler on bass, (not seen) William "Corky" Anderson on drums, Dick Stewart on lead guitar, and Larry Longmire on rhythm guitar (circa Alb., NM 1961). The only living member as of 2016 is Dick Stewart, age 76. He's still performing and recording with his sons, Jason and Ritch and his second book "A Time of Innocence" is being released by Page Publishing out of New York City. Sadly, Butler and Longmire passed away from cancer, and Anderson had a fatal heart attack.  For more information on this band and other Lance Records recording artists, go to www.lancerecords.com.
