Epilogue
Kiyoto.F featuring Lia Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You ask what I'm doing this Sunday
If I'd like to visit
I laugh and say let me check my schedule
But shit, what day is it?
I slept half the weekend
And dreamt about what I've been missin'
And the rest I spent making this album
When no one will listen

I don't feel right
In this world anymore
I don't feel right
In this world anymore

I don't hear from people for months
Then they send me a meme
Text me all about their new problems
Or troll my shit team
I deleted all of my phone's apps
And stare at the blank screen
Turn it off and work on a six pack
That will never been seen

I don't feel right
In this world anymore
(I don't feel right in this world)
I don't feel right
In this world anymore
(I don't feel right in this world)

I march in the gay pride parade
And I join Black Lives Matter
They ask if I wanna get laid
And they call me a cracker
I met a nice girl with bright eyes
Who made my heart jump
But she said that she only likes guys
Who voted for Trump (what the fuck)

I don't feel right
In this world anymore
(I don't feel right in this world)
I don't feel right

In this world anymore
(I don't feel right in this world)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Epilogue" by Kiyoto.F featuring Lia reflect a sense of disconnect and disillusionment with the world and the people in it. The song begins with the singer being asked about their plans for Sunday, hinting at a potential invitation. However, the singer brushes it off, indicating a lack of interest or engagement with social activities. The lyrics convey a feeling of being out of touch with the passage of time and a sense of confusion about one's own priorities.

The second verse captures the singer's frustration with the superficiality of modern communication. They mention not hearing from people for extended periods and then receiving trivial messages or insincere interactions. By deleting their phone's apps and staring at a blank screen, they demonstrate a desire to disconnect from the constant stream of information and distractions. The mention of working on a six-pack that will never be seen could be interpreted as a metaphor for working on personal goals that may never be acknowledged or appreciated by others.

The third verse delves into the singer's experiences with activism and relationships. They mention participating in the gay pride parade and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, showing a desire to align themselves with causes they believe in. However, their efforts are met with criticism as they are objectified and insulted. The mention of meeting a girl with bright eyes who only prefers Trump supporters highlights the singer's frustration with the complexities of personal connections in a polarized world. The lyrics convey a sense of being at odds with societal expectations and feeling alienated as a result.

Overall, "Epilogue" provides a glimpse into the singer's feelings of disconnection, disillusionment, and frustration with the state of the world and their place in it. The lyrics reflect a struggle to find meaning and connection amidst a society filled with superficiality and conflicting ideologies.

"Farinelli's singing voice was provided by the Polish soprano Ewa Malas-Godlewska and a countertenor, Derek Lee Ragin, who were recorded separately and then digitally merged to recreate the sound of a castrato." Hopefully this helps! :)

@bengmelea8646

Yes true except for this song in which Derek wasn't involved.

I can’t believe some people say that they don’t like the way the actor’s facial expression. It is a film abt a castrated boy.. He expresses what he’s been through since he was stolen his body, mind and love at that moment. Not just a Rinaldo. He couldn’t choose to express to soley cry, sing, or roar but mixed a lot of things. He was stood there his heart beaten and wonded.
