Growing up in houses just two minutes away from each other in Swords, a working class town near Dublin airport, Stephen Garrigan and Mark Prendergast met aged eight, when they were the only boys in the school choir. Skip forward six years and they recruited Vinny May , also situated a stones throw away and together set about forming the first of myriad bands. The line-up for Kodaline was recently completed by the addition of bassist Jason Boland . The band's name, incidentally, means absolutely nothing. For the moment they wanted something they could take ownership of.
The band became a YouTube sensation with their music video for the song 'All I Want' which tells the heartbreaking beauty-and-the-beast type story. On October 4th 2013 Kodaline released another music video for this song called 'All I Want part 2" this again tells us about the man.
On June 17th 2013, Kodaline released their first studio album, In a Perfect World, with 11 tracks including 'All I Want', 'Pray', 'Love Like This' and 'High Hopes'. The oldest track on their album is 'High Hopes' which was based on a series of breakups that members of the band were facing during that time.
Teaching each other the principles of songcraft, the music they came up with some of which can be found on their self titled EP isn't wan or introspective or self-serving. Instead, it's bold, epic and stirring. Currently maintaining an air of understated mystery, Kodaline are soon set to unveil themselves to the world with these first four tracks recorded with Steve Harris (producer for Dave Matthews band, mixer for U2).
Singles have featured in a number of TV shows, including 'Remember the time' in Grey's Anatomy and 'All I Want' in "The Vampire Diaries". This song was also used ,very effectively, as the backing music in the 2012 Google Zeitgeist advert.
Kodaline have also been doing many tours recently and their last two in the UK were completely sold out. They enjoy being on the stage and are looking forwards to many festivals in the upcoming summer, such as T in the Park and the V festival.
To celebrate the beginning of 2014, Kodaline released an alternative video for their song 'One Day' on January 1st, 2014. Also, on the 15th of January, Kodaline received the EBBA for the people's choice award along with another award for the best Irish Act. This promising band has been acclaimed for their many talents and will surely continue to produce such heart-rendering music.
Kodaline have announced their second album: 'Coming Up For Air' which will be released in February 2015. A couple of the songs have already been made public. They are also going on another tour around various places in the world after it's release, starting in the amazing Glasgow Barrowlands. They will also be returning to America after their last tour was cancelled due to Jay's broken wrist.

It happens contrary to me. I grew up with my cousin, we are both girls and she's only 2.5 years older than me. But even like that, i admired her, she was my idol. But 3 years ago, she changed. I'm not... ehh.. writing (?) About in a bad way, she won a concurse that made a great change for her and her family. But the thing is, that Chrismast she were getting away from me and i didn't knew why. I was a little girl without a father and a mother who clearly has depression even if she hiddes it. She were like my older sister. I also have a young brother, he is the only boy in all the generation, we are literally 4 womans (my mom and her sisters, 1 of them is lesbian) and 5 girls (my cousins and me), so he is adored and ho is never with mewhen we visit them, he is always with my auntie, so i usr my free time with my cousin. But she was getting away. Like i was saying, in Chrismast she was avoiding me, i tried to talk, i asked her why was she acting like that, she ignored me. In new year, we were changing, i told her she looked beautiful, again she ignored me, after that i asked her how i looked, she had enough. It was a lot of sound out so, no one heard when she yelled at me that i was annonying and she wished that i let her alone, that she was fed up of me and she doesn't wanted me close. That was my break point. I wanted to cry, but i could not. My chest hurted, she just left the room mad. I decided i would do what she told me: keep myself away from her. She doesn't even did came when we did go. The next year, it wasn't the same. I avoided she like she avoided me. At the start, we didn't even tried to talk, but almost 3 days before we'd come back home, she looked like she wanted to talk to me. We saw again next year in April. But bow, it was me who avoided her. Just a hello and nothing else, for respect and education. Now she is trying to remedy it, but it doesn't matter anymore. I don't care, she wanted me to leave her alone? Well, now you got it. Now hold on b!tch, because i wouldn't even see you if it wasn't because your older sister (25) is going to get married in 1 or 2 years and we will be her bridesmaids. Now fvck off, leave me alone.

Let me tell u a story
There once was a boy named Ryan with two brothers. One of them abused him and his name was Aaron and the other took care of him as a father figure named Nathan. Aaron blamed Ryan for the death of their parents. One day they were token hostage. And The kidnapper said choose one person to die.
