Seguiremos en Pie
Kokoshca Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Infinitas madreselvas
Que se enredan entre rejas
Como un creyente con su fe
O el chino de Tiananmen
Como la torre Eifell
Por los siglos de los siglos
Seguiremos erguido
Seguiremos en pie
The lyrics of "Seguiremos en Pie" by Kokoshca convey a powerful message of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. The singer reflects on moments of struggle and despair, stating that they felt dead or sick at times, but ultimately managed to wake up, heal, and emerge stronger than before. The recurring imagery of a fierce storm threatening to destroy everything serves as a metaphor for life's challenges and hardships. Despite feeling like things were going terribly wrong, the singer emphasizes the importance of standing firm and refusing to be defeated.
The first two paragraphs depict the singer's personal journey of overcoming obstacles and finding inner strength. Despite feeling overwhelmed and defeated by life's trials, they managed to hold onto their resilience and resolve to keep moving forward. The lyrics suggest a transformation from a state of despair to a renewed sense of purpose and self-worth. By highlighting the contrast between feeling dead or ill and ultimately awakening or healing, the singer emphasizes the power of resilience and the capacity to reinvent oneself in the face of adversity.
The next two paragraphs shift the focus to a broader perspective, referring to both male and female experiences of resilience. The image of a tree in a storm or a woman in war symbolizes the ability to withstand challenges and emerge stronger on the other side. The mention of "infinitas madreselvas" (endless honeysuckles) that tangle amidst bars conveys a sense of beauty and resilience in the face of confinement or limitations. The references to a believer with their faith, the "chino de Tiananmen" (an allusion to the Tank Man in the Tiananmen Square protests), and the Eiffel Tower suggest universal symbols of steadfastness and endurance.
In the final lines, the singer declares a steadfast commitment to standing tall despite the trials and tribulations that may come their way. The repeated refrain of "Seguiremos en pie" (We will remain standing) encapsulates the theme of resilience and determination that pervades the song. The mention of iconic monuments like the Eiffel Tower reinforces the idea of enduring through the ages. Ultimately, the lyrics of "Seguiremos en Pie" celebrate the human capacity to overcome adversity, rebuild oneself, and stand strong in the face of life's challenges.
