Koma Lyrics

The lyrics of Koma's song Tio Sam talk about the United States of America and the way it is portrayed as a country that helps people in need, but, in reality, it helps tyrants and manipulates other countries. The singer refers to his uncle as a "samaritan" - someone who helps strangers in need - but in the same breath, points out that his uncle is helping dictators, not people in need. The lyrics also describe the superficial aspects of American culture, such as drinking Coca-Cola, eating hamburgers, and asking the mirror who's the most handsome. These details are meant to illustrate how American culture is marketed to other countries and creates a consumerist culture.
The singer also describes his uncle as someone who has great influence over many countries and can manipulate them with ease. He portrays "Tio Sam" as someone who paints over the dirt and problems of other nations with white paint, as if everything is perfect. The line "with a smile, he catches us defecating" is a metaphor for how the US puts other nations in compromising positions and manipulates them into doing what they want. The lyrics show that the US is not a do-gooder, but rather a master manipulator that converts other nations into its consumption-driven culture.
Overall, Koma's song is critical of the United States and illustrates how the country is a master manipulator and trader of culture, rather than a reliable Samaritan.

@IWANAROCKYEEEAAAA
