Take You Down
Kora Lyrics

I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
No more playing, this ain't no game
We do it for the lovers, not for fame
I don't have to prove it to you, no way
I don't care what you think, don't mess with me
Say what you want me to to me
Should've kept all the dissing to yourself
'Stead you're criticising on someone else
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
Stack your ego back on the shelf
Nothing but the badness comes from your mouth
Now it's time to settle the score
Turn it back on you
Gonna take full control, learn to let it go
I'm gonna take more than all you got, talk to let you down
Talk like you got it all, you just dropped the ball
Fool, you're just an amateur
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down, oh, yeah
I'm gonna take you down
I'm gonna take you down
In Kora's song "Take You Down," the singer is expressing her frustration towards someone who has been critical and disrespectful towards her. The repetition of the line "I'm gonna take you down" emphasizes her resolve to confront this person and put them in their place. She exclaims that she doesn't care about their opinions and that they shouldn't have wasted her time with their negativity.
The lyrics also highlight the theme of self-empowerment as Kora encourages her listeners to take control of their own lives and not let others bring them down. She refers to the person she's addressing as an amateur and instructs them to stack their ego back on the shelf. The phrase "learn to let it go" suggests that carrying this burden of negativity is no longer worth it and it's time to move on. Overall, the song has a strong message of standing up for oneself and not allowing others to undermine our self-worth.
