Sunday
Koryn Hawthorne Lyrics

Got work I don't wanna' wake up
Thankful that You gave me life
Even though I don't always do right
Tuesday, I done had enough
Keep pushing even though it's tough
Loyal, even when I'm not
Each day I get another shot
So my mind's made up
I'ma stay prayed up
It's been a long week
I don't wanna' have to wait 'til Sunday
I need You always
Not just for one day
(Oh Lord) I don't wanna' have to wait 'til Sunday
I need You always
Not just for one day
I don't wanna have to wait 'til
Wednesdays, don't bother me much
Thursdays easy 'cause I got Your love
Throwback to before I knew what it was
Now I don't stress about no Friday's 'cause
Friday when the check gone come
Ten percent then I can have a little fun
Weekend I can chill or some
Me and You a little one on one
So my mind's made up
I'ma stay prayed up
It's been a long week
I don't wanna' have to wait 'til Sunday (Sunday)
I need You always (Always)
Not just for one day (One day)
(Oh Lord) I don't wanna' have to wait
'Til Sunday (To have to wait 'til Sunday)
I need You always (Always)
Not just for one day
I don't wanna have to wait 'til
I really need you on Monday
I really need you Tuesday
I really need you Wednesday
Oh I don't wanna' have to wait
Thursday, I don't wanna' have to wait
Friday, I don't wanna have to wait
Saturday (oh no, no)
I don't wanna have to wait 'til Sunday (Sunday)
I need You always (Always)
Not just for one day (One day)
(Oh Lord) I don't wanna' have to wait 'til Sunday
I need You always
Not just for one day
I don't wanna' have to wait 'til
Sunday
Sunday
Always
One day
To wait 'til Sunday
In this song, Koryn Hawthorne talks about the need for constant spiritual support in her life. She explains that she doesn't want to have to wait until Sunday, the day designated for worshipping God in the Christian faith, to feel close to God. She describes the difficulties of everyday life and how she battles them with hope, faith, and prayer. The song emphasizes that faith and spirituality don't have to be experienced on one day of the week but should be a constant aspect of one's life.
The lyrics of this powerful gospel song communicate the universal struggle of maintaining faith and hope amidst the busyness, complications, and discouragements of life. The song focuses on the need for a constant spiritual relationship with God, not just one day of the week. Hawthorne explains how each day offers her another opportunity to grow closer to God and live a life guided by faith and love.
Overall, Sunday is a reminder that seeking spiritual support is not a one-time thing. It should be a daily habit to keep oneself grounded in their beliefs, and the song encourages one to stay committed to their path by seeking spiritual guidance and strength daily.

Followers of Jesus represent Him as He has called us to because we love Him. This isn’t about nitpicking at clothes. This is about the spirit behind this video. This is about knowing Who God is and Who God isn’t; about the name of God being misrepresented. If we look, sound, and behave just like the world, why do we even call ourselves saved? Why should we even call ourselves holy and set apart? 2 Timothy 2:19 says “Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Is Yeshua even our Lord if we’re promoting the same things the world is?
Will the world even know our Savior and how He died for them to have life, meaning, and purpose with Him as they seek Him? (Matthew 6:33)
For them to have a holy identity as a joint-heir of His glorious kingdom through His freedom, salvation, and now, they can have a calling to preach the Good News of how all sins are forgiven by faith in Jesus? (Romans 10:9-12, John 3:12-21)
For them to have the calling to point people back to the Father through the Son of God and tell the world that now, all can be renewed, rebirthed, and restored and have a new, amazing home in heaven, a family to belong to? (Mark 16:15-20)
Will they know that they too can be sons and daughters of the loving, Everlasting Father if we haven’t forsaken what God called us to stay away from? (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
There’s so much better in the kingdom of God. This world is dying. Perishing. Wouldn’t you rather eat from God, learn the eternal ways of the God Who made you, and be filled & WHOLE in your mind, body, soul, and spirit with His eternal love, peace, & joy from His Spirit instead of eating from this world for a temporary high that satisfies your flesh? (Romans 6:23)
This “ATL” movie theme shown in the video isn’t even a movie that promotes the message of salvation, repentance and freedom from the Savior. This promotes lust and idolatry while singing about not restricting our relationship with Yah to Sunday services, even though the things promoted in this video is the very reason people have a Sunday only relationship with Him in the first place (Jeremiah 29:11-12). This world is not meant to love us, nor are we are meant to love the fruit of this world (John 15:18-25, 1 John 2:15-17). We are meant to love them by preaching the truth to them, not fellowshipping with them and their deeds (James 4:4-8).
What’s produced outwardly is evidence of the inward. A tree is not going to produce fruit unless a seed is sown. Promiscuous clothes on the outside is evidence of promiscuous seeds on the inside. How the temple (our body) is clothed and adorned is evidence of Who is Lord of our heart. Of our lives. As believers, we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds via following the Holy Spirit of Yah and drinking the water of the Word (Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 5:26, Ephesians 4:23-24).
As followers of Jesus, we are lights in a dark world; not flashy icons who shine to make people think we are cool or the same as them.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your FATHER which is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16
People need to be saved by God, not entertained by us. Everybody else is already giving that to them. Who is going to stand up and be who Yah called them to be? Who is going to confirm their calling and election and make their salvation sure? Who is going to examine themselves and bring fruits meet for repentance to God? Sons and daughters of God, don’t be distracted by the hype. These are the last days. Do you really know the King? Do you truly know Him as your Lord and not just as your Savior? Do you follow Him wherever He goes (Revelation 14:4).
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” -1 Peter 2:9-10

Hello everyone! I’m 12 years old and i am trying to get close to God. I read my bible , daily devotional, verse, psalm, and gospel and share it with my friends. I make sure i pray as well because Jesus has saved me i believe in him! What really made me start journeying closer to God was fear of the rapture. I also have changed the way others think and motivated them to be more like christ. Any tips for family who aren’t very close to God? I’m scared my brother won’t be taken in the rapture. God bless !
@journeywithjesus
Just keep praying for your family. The Holy Apirit will do the rest.
