Mr. Know-It-All
Kotipelto Lyrics

People like you so high and wise
Telling us how to live our lives
Speaking 'bout things you just surmise
(Chorus)
They call you Mr. Know-it-all
So proud contriving in your clever mind
Or could it be you're weak inside
And that you've got something to hide
Seems like you always know it all
What ever I say you're never wrong
If this was a game you'd own the ball
Time and again the same ol' song
Look at you you're never wrong
There are people who want ot be
At the centre of every scene
Hard as they try, fail to impress me
I'm telling you now, you're not supreme
The lyrics of Kotipelto's song Mr. Know-It-All speak out against a particular type of person who seems to have all the answers and is constantly pushing their opinions onto others. The lyrics are an indictment against people who believe themselves to be intellectually superior to others and who constantly try to impose their beliefs on others. The person being addressed in the song is “Mr Know-It-All”. He is seen as one who is constantly telling people how to live their lives, but all of his advice is based on nothing but his opinions, rather than factual evidence. The lyrics are saying that people like this are not as smart as they believe themselves to be.
The chorus of the song speaks to the arrogance of “Mr. Know-It-All” and the idea that he believes he is always right. He is so sure of himself and his opinions that he never considers the possibility that he might be wrong. The lyrics question whether this is actually confidence or if there is something else behind it. The song suggests that this attitude could be hiding a weakness or insecurity, that “Mr. Know-It-All” may have something to hide. In summary, the lyrics of the song are warning people against falling victim to the manipulations of those who believe they know everything, without questioning the truth of their claims.
