In 1979 Arcieri and Moser released their second album, Hibernation.
In 1980 the band officially changed its name to "Krisma". Their third album, Cathode Mamma, featured Hans Zimmer on synthesizer. The single "Many Kisses" was met with great success in Europe. Around this time Krisma developed the first minisequencer, known as Krismino. Krisma left Polygram for CGD, then part of the CBS group, in 1981.
In 1982 Krisma released Clandestine Anticipation, an experimental album dealing with water in all of its forms (liquid, ice, vapor, fog, snow and rain) supported by a series of videos filmed in tropical locations. The clips were first shown on Carlo Massarini's Mister Fantasy TV program on Rai 1.
Krisma moved to New York City in 1986. They directed three videos for MTV, and soon after they began to work for France 2. In Italy they often appeared on the program "Be Bop a Lula" hosted by Red Ronnie for Italia Uno. The single "Nothing To Do With the Dog" (retitled "Fido" in international markets) and "Iceberg" were released during this time.
In 1988 Non ho denaro was released. It was their last album to be released on vinyl, and today it is one of the hardest-to-find Krisma records.
During the 1990s Krisma's early records were remastered. They continued to do freelance work for the Italian state broadcasting company Rai 3, and they were credited for crafting the special effects on the Marco Ferreri film Nitrato d'Argento (1996). Krisma also designed several video-art installations and worked as consultants for Benetton's Centro Ricerca Comunicazione. On July 22, 1998 the couple launched Krisma TV, which was broadcast through the Skyplex satellite service (and later Eutelstat) to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
In June 2000 the band opened their website, www.krismatv.net. Arcieri made a comeback attempt with Re-Birth, a solo project, around the same time. The single "Kara" was released in 2001 in both Italian and English versions. In 2002 Krisma collaborated with the Turin-based band Subsonica on the track Nuova Ossessione.
Hibernated Nazi

Do you think he's real
With a normal face
Just made up of skin
And a nerve center with a heart beating
It's a lie...
Go near him you can touch him
So synthetic
By surgical control
Still got a few bandages on his head
It's a lie...
It moves but
Artificial ankles moving slow
Watch him find a direction to go
Up left or back to square one
What fun...
Been in cold storage
Half a century
Operated tested
And put on show
Even rarer to see someone that you know
It's a lie...
Move a little closer
You can hear him say
Residue of substances
In my chemical brain Black's a color, white is neg., I'm a photograph
It's a lie...
It moves but
Artificial ankles moving slow
Watch him find a direction to go
Up left or back to square one
What fun...
He's deep breathing
His arms are stiff
Stumble start fall
It could be a fit
What't he game get him back, to the fridge again
It's a lie...
Then he looks at you
With his eyes slitting
Sterilise your needle
Cause you're in for it
Slow but sure close the door, remote control suicide
It moves but artificial ankles moving slow
Watch him find a direction to go
Up left or back to square one,
What fun
Back to square one
What fun
The song "Hibernated Nazi" by Krisma is a commentary on the idea of manufactured beings, and specifically the idea of Nazis who are preserved and brought back to life through surgical and technological means. The lyrics describe a person who is claiming to be a Nazi who has been hibernated for half a century and brought back to life through medical means. The song suggests that he is not really alive, but is rather a synthetic creation made up of skin, nerves, and a chemical brain. The lyrics describe how this person moves slowly and stiffly, with artificial ankles, and how his actions are controlled remotely like a machine. The song ends with the implication that this person is dangerous, and that those who interact with him should be careful.
Overall, the song is a commentary on the idea of creating artificial life, and the potential dangers and moral implications of doing so. It is a cautionary tale that warns against the potential risks of playing God and experimenting with the creation of synthetic humans.
