Give You More
Krome & Time Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Rewind, back to the beginning,
Cause we're miles away from the start
Far and wide, and still we're searching
But we can't find our way through the dark

Were you sad that you missed the sweet moment
While all that time, you were right there
Movin' on, and still you're talking
So unaware of the beauty around you

But it would be better if you smiled sometimes, instead of crying
You get what you give out
So give it all you've got
And let it sing

Are you having the time of your life?
Because precious time will fly by
And it flows to no ending
It's the sum, not the single part

But it would be better if you smiled sometimes, instead of crying
You get what you give out
So give it all you've got
And let it sing

It's not the things you take

It's the love you make
It's what you give

Overall Meaning

The opening lines of the song "Give You More" by Krome & Time reflect a sense of nostalgia and longing, as the lyrics mention rewinding back to the beginning and being miles away from the start. The idea of searching for something but unable to find their way through the darkness suggests a feeling of being lost or disconnected. It implies that despite the passage of time, they have not yet found what they are looking for.

The next verse delves into the theme of missed opportunities and not appreciating the present moment. The lyrics ask if the listener was sad for missing out on the sweet moments that were right there, perhaps implying that they were too focused on moving forward and were unaware of the beauty that surrounded them. It highlights the importance of being present and mindful of the beauty and joy in life instead of always looking to the future.

The chorus emphasizes the potential for happiness and fulfillment. It suggests that it would be better for the listener to smile sometimes instead of crying, because the energy and emotions we put out into the world often determine what we receive in return. The lyrics encourage giving it all one has got and letting it sing, which can be interpreted as embracing life, taking risks, and expressing oneself fully.

The final verse of the song shifts the focus from material possessions to love and connection. It highlights that the true value lies in the love we create and share with others, rather than the things we accumulate. The lyrics imply that giving love and kindness is what truly matters and brings fulfillment. It suggests that focusing on superficial things will not lead to lasting happiness, but instead, by giving love and sharing positive energy, we can find a sense of purpose and contentment.

Fantastic piece of a hardcore/jungle crossover tune. 10/10 for me this one

@OKrepresent

SICK! The vocals are sampled from an 80s disco track called "Do You Want It Right Now" by Siedah Garrett. Same song that Armand Van Helden sampled for his track "I want Your Love." Hearing this get the hardcore rinse-out is so nice! Love this kinda stuff
