The band originally consisted of Alan McDonald (vocals, guitar), Mark Nelson (guitar), Michael "Frog" Coburn (bass, vocals) and Chris McGreevy (drums). After McDonald's departure in 2007, Graham Thompson replaced him on guitar and Coburn took over lead vocals. The band split in July of 2008 with members forming a new band, Black Flashes shortly afterwards.

Signed to 30:30 Recordings and have previously released two singles- Taxi and their debut Nightjoy on Fantastic Plastic Records, a split single Opening Shot on Kitchenware Records as well as having their music featured of several compilation CDs. Their debut album Not Enough Night is due out in March 2007 preceded by the single Outwards in December 2006.

Creators of this year’s best indie rock debut; make no mistake, Newcastle’s Kubichek! are a devoutly special band. As incendiary as the intentionally explosive exclamation mark that doorstops their moniker, like all the best bands, they come armed with a musical manifesto – a mission statement if you will – that encompasses their lust for uncompromising DIY punk jitter, noir tinged, New Wave tainted atmos, and feedback swamped melodic sass. Said debut, ‘Not Enough Night’ is evocative of their variety in palate; a record that perfectly plots their brilliance over twelve explosive, contrasting melodic assaults, announcing their arrival to the world with aplomb. It is a stunning debut missive.

Formed from their wreckage of their former band (North East England’s much beloved Parklandsway) - and forged from a mutual love of Idlewild, Mogwai, Fugazi, At The Drive In, Primal Scream, and Sigur Ros – they’re a band for anyone who ever believed in the clang of the electric guitar, the rasp of a tattered voice, and a bellyful of bright, bold, guitar skewed pop songs. After an unbelievably brilliant debut album & year which saw the band constantly touring the uk, finishing with slots at Reading & Leeds festivals and a hometown finale, Kubichek! headed back into the studio to create a follow up to Not-Enough-Night.

However in September 2007, original lead singer and guitarist Alan MacDonald left the band, the myspace announcement read "We're sad to say that Alan is no longer with the band. We've all been friends and band members for some time now and have had some great experiences together as a result. We wish Alan all the best for the future."

Nevertheless the band continued with occasional vocalist Frog taking up the reigns as frontman. In recent times chek! have been "doing a Klaxons" as drummer McGreevy called with Frog limiting his bass playing to the studio and Bob from Ever Since The Lake Caught Fire joining on bass for recent live performances. chek! are now in the studio creating follow up to Not-Enough-Night, for release later this year!!!

I recently found this and this has to be one of the best fan mix edits I’ve seen. As a follower of the fan editing community I’ve always had an appreciation for the art of editing, as so many “bad” films can be turned “good” just through a few minor cuts. But my favorites are always the ones that manage to mix together multiple sources to create an entirely new narrative, and this is easily the best. Your love for the franchise is clear, and the work really shows. Your talent is incredible: I’m also a horror filmmaker and I hope to see you in the industry, you truly deserve it! Please keep up the editing and film work, you only will get better with time and practice, and with the skill you show with this edit, I know that you will turn out to be one of the best editors around. Your chronological orders of movie scenes make very clear and make it sense to me. As a fan of the Terminator, people already knew how this movie would be. There are lots of Terminator series that conflict with timeline and storyline. As a result, the Terminator looks like different time of future with people and places. Always, I think that Terminator 1 and 2 are good enough and finish with future war with T3. However, more serise of teminators are complicated and unmatched because the script writers can change any storylines. For example, JC died in Terminator darkfate,but Kate Brewster could send new t-800 to protect John before John got shot. That is why, these series can change. Wish that you can make hollywood movie on this. TITLE:The terminator terminated or the terminator final day of future something like that. I am sure it will be amazing final movie. I will definitely send this to other friends. Gracias!

This was really well made and put together and is something that really appealed to me, especially with the prospect the franchise may not come to a point like this.

Of course this will never flow seamlessly or be perfect because of the Terminator films being differently cast, color graded, shot, edited, having a different tone, and a different aesthetic. But you did your absolute best and I applaud these efforts.

Wow! Great editing and I'm sure this was a real Labor of love, and a lengthy one! Ive been a terminator junkie since the first installment. This really blew me away and is good as any movie and has perfect continuity along with its musical score that helped sew it all together quite nicely. I don't see why you're not employed to do this full time, if you're not already. Because were someone to see this that didn't know any better they'd think it was another chapter from the franchise and would be none the wiser. You're right, the nostalgia was a treat. Especially for us that remember what a big deal the first one was back then and how the "I'll be back" instantly became a familiar and commonly used catch phrase!

This movie was amazing. It took me through the first Terminator movie and the ones inbetween to show us how The T-800 (original Terminator was sent back and the mission of Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn). Really cool how you could tell the story the way we really wanted to see it told using only pieces of the originals placed in the right position. Really makes you wonder what the creators could have done with the franchise. I also liked how you left out John being killed in Mexico. I actually liked Dark Fate but I thought there was a better way to explain John not being the leader of the resistance in the distant future. I felt like it just really didn’t fit.

This is absolutely AWESOME! One of the best films I have ever seen. Way better than most of what came out of holywood in last 3-4 years. It is what Terminator 3 should have been. Aside from part 1 and 2 this is the best Terminator movie. Wipes the floor with trash like Terminator Gendersys or latest one (cant even remember the title). Absolutely awesome! Cant say i like dark fate being acknowledged at all with how bad a film it was. But seeing its events be regulated into more of a side option and john connor brought back to the spotlight made me happy. Well made man. Really cool video. It puts everything together nicely. That being said it boils down to a timeline that kills billions over and over because the resistance was not fast enough to stop the first terminator going back in time. What does that say about man creating AI? To me it means there are some very smart people who have no clue as to how far AI could actually go. Maybe becoming self aware or a program malfunction that result in a war that could end all life. Computers are great tools, but when the creators of the technology are trying to do good things they often forget tools break and can be replaced, but life is precious and not even a blink of eye in the time of let’s say a life of 100 years old. Most don’t get that chance. And when tools like AI take away jobs so humans can enjoy other things. Who going to pay the bills? If everything were free ok great, but it would probably end bad that way too, because humans in general want, like or both to have a purpose in that less than 100 years of an average life. Chat bot in my opinion should be deleted now, before it’s too late to do so. Like in these movie clips we all have seen. But we all know the word greed though. Those creators of AI and others technologies like it think of one thing money. It’s not a conspiracy at all just a simple way to look at the big picture. I think I’m old enough not to see that day come, and I’m glad about it. No jobs for people only robots. Then possibly seeing people just sitting around plugged in to a device maybe like the Matrix. Who knows, but I don’t want to see mindless people doing absolutely nothing because of AI or robots doing everything.

I really liked seeing everything tied together in this video. Sorry about how I feel about where technology may be going, but it’s just what i feel could happen. Hopefully not. Great video and thanks for posting!

this is really tight , no mistakes, you should edit for hollywood ect, i and others have had a go with varying degrees, but this is just awsome, and for anyone out there you could literally get the whole story, wll kyle reese anyway yet i thought there was a lot more to it, well done, keep up the good work

Nice work! I just wish Hollywood would give Terminator the care and attention it deserves. I do not believe that this franchise is dead, or that the story has been told and is finished. The future war is so rich for possible story telling. They need to focus on good stories, and not just on action, Arnold and thinking to make easy money. What really surprised me how the use of music from the first two terminator films during scenes from the later movies really made them a lot better. I think it is underestimated how important the synthesizer terminator music sound is for that terminator "feel". The music of the later movies was just bland to me.

@Josh Nitsche Have you ever seen the batman vs terminator animation on Youtube? A good example. The music in it is superb, it transports you instantly to the terminator universe. The reason they avoid the future war is because James Cameron is adamantly against doing that. Cameron has repeated over and over that Terminator was never really about the robots. It was about fighting what seems inevitable, and winning. In a James Cameron movie, humanity will succeed. It's the difference between T3 and Dark Fate. T3 just goes nihilistic and says T2 was for nothing and humanity is fucked anyways. Dark Fate says "there's a new obstacle now, but we can still beat it".

@darkstar100x James Cameron returned to the franchise to make a 12 minute short film set in the Future War. So it's surprising that he chose to repeat the plot of T1 and T2, instead of giving the fans what they want.

@Josh Nitsche I'd argue that's because "the fans" can't make up their minds about what they want. People bitched that T3-onwards were too caught up in John and needed to refocus on Sarah and her influence (Terminator was SARAH's franchise). So Cameron made Dark Fate, a movie 80% about Sarah Connor's influence and returning to T1's message of Sarah being the truly important figure, not John. But suddenly, people liked T3 and adult John Connor out of nowhere, and Dark Fate was "SJW propaganda" because they shoved Sarah and new female protagonists in our faces. Even though that's exactly what people were asking for a few years back.

Is Dark Fate derivative as all hell? Sure, but so was the Force Awakens. That's all it is, Cameron just showing "see, we can at least get a classic Terminator plot right" after Geneshit killed our souls.

Normally these fan fiction of such things aren’t very good. Terminator movie and TV series is a favorite of mine. This was entertaining and nicely thorough enough to be given my stamp of approval. I love how you incorporated the Dark Fate assets into the OG Future War. With the REV Series being relatively unknown to John Connor and made prior to the T-1000. And Dani Ramos being a contemporary leader to John Connor (Or she's one of his Lieutenants). Was Marcus a REV in this video?

Right away, one thing this work did right in comparison to Salvation regarding the future war period, MOST of the storyline/action taking place at night, staying true to Kyle Reese's words from the first movie about how the human resistance can only come out in the night time as they have better chances of survival than the day. Just staying true to every little detail like that goes a long way into establishing a good canon story. Well done!

Terminator meets The Thin Red Line. I dig it. This is really good, and honestly gave me some of the emotion that was lacking from the most recent films...by using footage from those films! This must have been a complicated project to edit, but aside from a little murkiness regarding what point of view this story is coming from, your edit does a better job of meeting expectations than the last few movies. That sense of inevitability that I wanted, and I'm sure others wanted in a T3 (which I enjoyed very much, but it was by no means the final word on the franchise). I like the idea that this edit puts forth that "what goes around comes around" with the loop of time travel. I think a future war set movie that ends with Reese and the Terminator(s) being sent through is what most people wanted after T2. An epic war film. What you did here is immensely satisfying and if possible. Love to pick your brain over this excellent work.

I've been making fan films (planning a 2nd Terminator one) and shoot all my stuff, but have wanted to do a few of these types of fan edits as well. Wondering what you use. Capture from Blu-ray?
