"You might describe Künstler music as a beautiful collision between electronica, classical minimalism, and 1970s krautrock. I made this music because I believe that dance music needs to discover the art of melody, harmony and structure; that classical music needs to remember how to be popular and listenable; and that not enough music is clever and funky like Kraftwerk or Faust. But mostly I made this music because I like it. When I hear Dizzee Rascal I want to arrange him for strings. When I listen to Varèse I wonder what he could do with electric guitars and a beatbox. This is more than an 'interesting' musical experiment though. All Künstler tracks are built around themes that I feel are interesting or important. This helps create depth and emotion. It probably doesn’t matter if you 'get' these themes or if you agree with my views. But I hope you enjoy listening."
